Molitor was in the first year of a three-year contract so the Twins will still have to pay him. They also fired seven of their minor-league coaches. I do not think Mike Scioscia will retire. I think he will find another team to manage but it will not be the Angels.

Manny Machado hit a three-run home run today to help the Dodgers beat Atlanta. They will play the Brewers for the NL title and the Astros will play either the Yankees or the Red Sox for the AL title. Here are all the scores and upcoming games:

Ain't it funny how MLB banned Pete Rose in 1989 for betting on baseball games and now they're demanding a share of the money that is bet on baseball games? They won't get it, though. MLB has no legal claim on casino wagering.

The logo for Google Assistant appears in the dugouts and behind home plate during Dodgers-Brewers NLCS playoff games. The cameramen might want to consider using wider shots.

The Brewers' relief pitchers have not been very good in the first two games against the Dodgers and I think the Dodgers will win this series. Here is a good story about the games.

I don't understand this headline. Aren't the Angels in Los Angeles, not Anaheim? At least the team's owner thinks so.

Angels tell Anaheim they're opting out of their lease on Angel Stadium
Los Angeles Times, Oct 16 2018 12:35 PM

The Angels opted out of their lease with the city of Anaheim today, setting the stage for another round of negotiations over whether the team remains in their longtime host city or finds a new home elsewhere in Southern California. Angel Stadium, which opened in 1966, is the fourth-oldest ballpark in the major leagues, behind Boston’s Fenway Park, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Dodger Stadium.

The Red Sox just won their series with Houston and they will play the Dodgers or the Brewers in the World Series. I still think it will be the Dodgers. Game 6 is tomorrow and the Dodgers need just one more win.

The Dodgers just beat the Brewers in game 7 and they advance to the World Series. Kershaw will start game 1 in Boston. Go, Dodgers!

Ausmus was a catcher for 18 seasons (Padres, Astros, Tigers, Dodgers). In his four years as Tigers manager, the team lost more games than they won. So a former catcher who ended his career with the Dodgers will manage the Angels. Why does that sound familiar?

Very early this morning, the Dodgers won World Series game 3 in the bottom of the 18th inning on a walk-off home run by Max Muncy. It was the longest post-season game in MLB history. Boston just won tonight's game, 9-6, to take a three-games-to-one lead over the Dodgers. Game 5 is tomorrow. There may not be a game 6 or 7. Stay tuned.
