Michael Cohen said in February, "Lying for Trump was normalized and nobody questioned it." He called himself a "fool" for being loyal to Trump and lying to protect him. Tomorrow, Cohen is going to prison for lying to Congress and the world's all-time biggest liar – who lied about having an affair with a porn star, lied about Cohen being his attorney and lied about making hush-money payments to buy her silence – continues to occupy the White House. Yes, Michael, you were a fool to be loyal to Trump.

Believing himself to be above the law and untouchable, Emperor Trump continues to gloat – but he won't be Emperor forever. And then, "Lock him up! Lock him up!"

Trump's inaugural committee is being investigated for mail fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy, money laundering, making false statements, violating disclosure laws and accepting contributions from foreign nationals. If – God forbid – Trump is re-elected in 2020, his inauguration might have to be held at the Federal Correction Institution in Otisville.

Trump said he was "smart" because he avoided paying income taxes. Now we know the real reason he didn't pay taxes – and why the pompous, narcissistic, egotistical blowhard didn't want to release his tax returns: the self-styled "great negotiator" and "great deal-maker" lost $1,170,000,000 in a ten-year period. He paid no taxes in eight of those years. CNN political analyst David Axelrod says these revelations "shatter the mythology of Trump being a successful businessman." Aww, poor baby!

Trying to discredit the Mueller investigation. Ignoring subpoenas and requests for documents. Ordering Don McGahn to ignore a subpoena. Invoking executive privilege over the entire unredacted Mueller report. Suing a Congressional committee that wants to see his taxes. Refusing to discuss his ties to Russia and his meetings with Putin. Evading Congressional oversight. Emperor Trump thinks he's above the law. He isn't. CNN's Stephen Collinson explains how our democracy is imperiled by the battle between Trump and House Democrats, a battle which may be a "political and legal nightmare that could last for years."

Trump's feud with Congress puts American democracy on the brink
Trump is providing a glimpse of how American government might look under a President who disdains the principles and pillars on which it is built.

Donald Trump told another lie. This one is #9,755 in an ongoing series.

Donald Trump lost $1,170,000,000 in the years 1985 to 1994. How much did "the great deal-maker" lose in other years? We may soon find out.

Emperor Trump makes his own laws. So, too, do William Barr, Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway. I see a definite pattern here.

New complaint hits 'repeat offender' Kellyanne Conway for Hatch Act violations
    HuffPost, May 10 2019 10:58 AM

The watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington has filed a complaint alleging that White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is illegally campaigning while she's supposed to be working as a government official — again. Conway touted President Donald Trump while attacking Democratic Presidential candidates Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker and Seth Moulton in her official capacity on the grounds of the White House, the group complained to the US Office of Special Counsel in a letter dated Wednesday. Conway’s activities violate the Hatch Act, which forbids any federal official from using their position for partisan campaigning.

The Office of Special Counsel, a government agency that enforces the Hatch Act, found Conway violated the Hatch Act in two television interviews in 2017 with comments about candidates in Alabama's special election in her "official capacity." The Office forwarded its findings to President Donald Trump to take "appropriate disciplinary action." The White House wrist-slapped Conway with a warning.

Well, it seems not everyone is willing to lie to protect Donald Trump.

White House asked Don McGahn to say Trump didn't obstruct justice. McGahn declined.
