"I'm building a wall. It's going to be a big beautiful wall." We now know what Trump built was a wall of secrecy -- and, thanks to all the many lawsuits, investigations and court trials, we're starting to learn some of those secrets.

'He can't get rid of any of this': Trump's wall of secrecy erodes amid growing legal challenges

The exodus continues. McGahn spent 30 hours testifying before Robert Mueller's team investigating possible obstruction of justice by Donald Trump. In the manner of a dictator, Trump punishes his enemies and rewards those who are loyal to him. Comey, Bannon, Pruitt, McCabe, McMaster, Flynn, Priebus, Tillerson, Yates, Spicer, Scaramucci, Cohn, Price, Hicks, Porter, Gorka, Shulman, Manigault and many others in the Trump administration have been fired or forced to resign. But don't forget, Trump bragged that he would surround himself with "the best people."

To protect his friend Donald Trump, National Enquirer publisher David Pecker bought exclusive rights to many negative stories about Trump -- and then never published them. One story involved the hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. Now that Pecker has been granted immunity and will be testifying before federal investigators, we may soon learn details of many more Trump sins, crimes and cover-ups.

National Enquirer had decades of Trump dirt. He wanted to buy it all.

"Obama was not born in the US. Judge Curiel is a Mexican. Five million illegal votes were cast. I had the biggest inaugural crowd of any President. I'm going to be Time magazine's man of the year. No one has more respect for women than I do. I don't know who Stormy Daniels is. I don't know anything about a payment to her. I will release my taxes. I have evidence to prove all my accusers are lying. We have a $500 billion trade deficit with China. The Democrats colluded with Russia. Google is blocking conservative news stories. If Republicans don't win in November, there will be violence." And on and on and on. Trump has been in office 19 months and has made 2,436 false statements, an average of 4.2 a day. This is the man who repeatedly calls Hillary Clinton "crooked" and refers to Cruz as "Lyin' Ted." Pot, meet kettle.

The Tweeter-In-Chief was in his usual fine form today, spewing his parrotlike mantras of "Fake news!" and "Rigged witch hunt!" and "Illegal investigation!" But this tweet, sent out at 4:44 AM, is so ridiculous it's laughable:

"Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner had NOTHING to do with the so called 'pushing out' of Don McGahn. The Fake News Media has it, purposely, so wrong! They love to portray chaos in the White House when they know that chaos doesn’t exist - just a 'smooth running machine' with changing parts!"

"Smooth," Donald? Really? This thread, now up to 22 pages, documents some of the never-ending chaos and turmoil in the Trump White House. To document all of it would require hundreds of pages -- and you just keep squawking, "Fake news! Fake news! Awwkkk!"

The exodus continues. The deputy counsel who oversees compliance and ethics issues is the latest official to announce he's leaving the White House -- or, as Trump calls it, the "smooth running machine."

Trump seems to hate all Democrats -- and he also seems to hate any Republicans who dare to say or do anything he disagrees with. Trump sees himself as an emperor who is entitled to unquestioning loyalty from his subjects. Those who show disloyalty are punished by a variety of measures ranging from nasty tweets all the way up to legal action or job termination.

Trump blasts Sessions over indictments of GOP congressmen ahead of midterms
CBS News, Sep 3 2018 5:41 PM EDT

President Trump chastised Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Twitter toay for federal indictments of two sitting Republican congressmen ahead of the midterm elections, the latest attack by the president against the attorney general he handpicked. "Two long running, Obama era investigations of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department," Trump wrote. "Two easy wins now in doubt because there is not enough time. Good job Jeff."

In the last month, federal grand juries have handed down indictments for New York's Representative Chris Collins and Representative Duncan Hunter, the first members of Congress to endorse Trump in the 2016 campaign. Collins faces charges of insider trading and Hunter is accused of using hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign funds on personal expenses.

The president's tweet is the latest in a series of heightened attacks on Sessions, whom Trump has chastised for recusing himself from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation and for failing to prosecute Trump's political enemy Hillary Clinton. Trump recently claimed Sessions never took control of the DOJ, to which Sessions responded in a rare statement that he took control of the Justice Department the day he took office.

Trump said he had the biggest Inauguration Day crowd of any US President. That was a lie. Now it turns out that the crowd photos were also a lie.

Fake, phony, fraudulent and fictitious. Those are the words Donald Trump uses in describing Fear: Trump In The White House, the new book by Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward, who has covered nine US Presidents and, with Carl Bernstein, exposed Richard Nixon's cover-up of the Watergate break-in. Woodward interviewed more than 100 insiders for Fear, many of them several times. He has recordings and thousands of pages of transcripts and documentation. He has multiple sources for every claim made in the book.

Trump lies continually. Trump is a narcissistic, petulant, thin-skinned blowhard. Trump says libel laws should be changed so he can sue writers who say negative things about him. Trump says Woodward's book is fake, phony, fraudulent and fictitious. Woodward says his reporting is "meticulous and careful." I believe Woodward. I have absolutely no reason to believe Trump. Woodward discussed Fear on CBS's Sunday Morning:

Today the Tweeter-In-Chief continued his attacks on Bob Woodward's book Fear and repeated last week's lie that the White House is a "smooth-running machine." I guess it might be considered smooth-running from the standpoint of the few who haven't resigned, been fired, been indicted or been imprisoned.

Trump insults Woodward book again and says he'll write 'the real book!'
