Donald Trump has no sense of humor. Aides say they have never seen him laugh and he becomes apopleptic when late-night tv hosts and Saturday Night Live make jokes about him. Here is another thin-skinned Republican with no sense of humor:

Rep. Nunes sues Twitter for $250 million over parody account of his disgruntled 'cow'
Los Angeles Times, Mar 19 2019 12:25 PM

A parody Twitter account purporting to be owned by an unhappy cow living on one of Rep. Devin Nunes' Iowa farms attacked the California Republican as a "treasonous cowpoke" and "udder-ly worthless" during the 2018 campaign. Now Nunes wants $250 million in damages from Twitter for failing to police the accounts of @DevinCow as well as another parody, @DevinNunesMom, and a political activist named Liz Mair.

In a lawsuit filed today in Virginia, Nunes complained that all three defamed him in hundreds of tweets over several months last year. It also seeks $350,000 in punitive damages, though legal experts say the suit has little chance of moving forward.

Trumpworld gets more and more bizarre. I wonder if Peter Parker's Aunt May bribed the White House to give him an internship.

The White House's biggest economic report lists the alter-egos of Spider-Man, Captain America, Batman and a Game Of Thrones character as interns

Last year, former White House communications director Hope Hicks testified before the House Intelligence Committee but she refused to answer several questions asked by Democrats. Now that Democrats hold a majority in the House, she seems more willing to cooperate. She's agreed to turn over documents related to Flynn's lies, Comey's firing, hush-money payments, the Trump Tower meeting and other matters. Former White House strategist Steve Bannon has also turned over thousands of pages of documents. Eventually -- I hope -- we will all learn the truth about the Liar-In-Chief.

Here is an interesting twist in the ongoing saga of the unnecessary, expensive, ineffective Trump Wall monument that the President wants to build for himself:

Mexicans in the world's most violent city are taking concertina wire off the border wall to protect their own homes

The Pentagon, under Trump's orders, has given Congress a list of more than 400 military construction projects that could be delayed or canceled so the President could have money to spend on the unnecessary, expensive, ineffective Trump Wall monument that he wants to build for himself. Members of the military are understandably outraged.

Marine Corps commandant says deploying troops to the border poses 'unacceptable risk'
Los Angeles Times, Mar 21 2019 11:10 AM

The commandant of the Marines has warned the Pentagon that deployments to the southwest border and funding transfers under the President's emergency declaration, among other unexpected demands, have posed "unacceptable risk to Marine Corps combat readiness and solvency."

In two internal memos, Marine Corps General Robert Neller said the "unplanned and unbudgeted" deployment along the border that President Trump ordered last fall, and shifts of other funds to support border security, had forced him to cancel or reduce planned military training in at least five countries and delay urgent repairs at bases.

The border deployment and funding transfers, as well as recovery costs from hurricanes Florence and Michael, new housing allowances and civilian pay raises, are taking a toll on combat readiness, Neller wrote to Navy Secretary Richard Spencer and Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan.

Neller, a four-star general, said because of the problems, Marines will not participate in planned training exercises in Indonesia, Scotland and Mongolia and will reduce their participation in joint exercises with Australia and South Korea. Marines "rely on the hard, realistic training" of the training exercises "to develop the individual and collective skills necessary to prepare for high-end combat," Neller said. He complained about canceling or shrinking the Marines’ participation "at a time where we are attempting to double down on strengthening alliances and attracting new partners."

While the armed services chiefs often warn of budget shortfalls, independent experts who reviewed Neller's memos described the language as unusually strong, in particular because it cites the President's highest-profile political priorities.

The border deployment is adding to the strain after hurricanes severely damaged Marine Corps facilities and housing in North Carolina and Georgia, Neller wrote. Citing limits on his ability to transfer money because of the planned reprogramming under the border emergency, Neller said the Marines already are short $1.3 billion for recovery operations this year with another hurricane season approaching.

Neller's red flag memos come as the White House and Defense Department have sought to reassure wary lawmakers that the military has not been negatively affected by the deployment to the border of roughly 6,000 service members from the Marines, Army, Air Force and Navy since October.

Of the 34 Jewish members of Congress, 32 are Democrats. Three-fourths of Jewish voters back Democratic candidates. Democrats are not anti-Semitic or anti-Jewish but Donald Trump never lets facts and reality get in the way of his idiotic assertions and accusations.

Trump smears Democrats, again, as the 'anti-Jewish' party

Concertina wire was used at German POW camps and US Japanese internment camps during World War II and in the original Berlin Wall in 1961 and it surrounds our nation's prisons. It is no surprise that Emperor Trump, who seeks to silence and punish his critics, would think concertina wire is "beautiful."

Trump says barbed wire 'can be a beautiful sight.' Many border communities disagree.
The wire makes parts of the US southern border look like a war zone. Now several cities – concerned about their images and the risk of injuries – are demanding it be removed.

Congress has the "power of the purse." The Department of Defense tried to bypass Congress by taking money from military projects and putting it toward the unnecessary, expensive, ineffective Trump Wall monument that the President wants to build for himself. The DoD tried.....and failed.
