Three of Trump's golf clubs hired undocumented immigrants and today we have a new revelation. CNN's Chris Cuomo observed, "Trump calls illegals 'rapists' and 'drug dealers' but he has no qualms about hiring them for cheap labor." And the Hypocrite-In-Chief keeps insisting we need to build The Trump Wall. Yeah, sure, Donald. Sure.

CNN's Chris Cuomo is right: Trump hates illegal immigrants but keeps hiring them for cheap labor. Brought here by human smugglers? No problem. Fake green cards and fake Social Security numbers? No problem. Maybe Donald can hire thousands of illegals to build The Trump Wall monument to himself.

Democrats and Republicans have pretty much agreed on an amount to be spent on border security but Republicans are objecting to the Democrats' proposal to reduce the number of beds in detention centers. Democrats want ICE to focus on migrants with criminal records and not on migrants who have overstayed their visas.

In an idiotic tweet, Trump -- who hates illegal immigrants but continues to hire them for cheap labor -- falsely accused Democrats of wanting "a cap on convicted violent felons to be held in detentions." He also repeated his demand for what he calls a "desperately needed" border wall. It isn't "desperately needed" but it's something he promised to his immigrant-hating supporters and he refuses to abandon the idea.

Declaring Trump's so-called "border emergency" to be a "manufactured crisis," Newsom is removing 360 National Guard members from the border and redeploying them so they can focus on "real threats" such as drug cartels and wildfires. Newsom is following the lead of New Mexico Governor Michelle Grisham, who last week removed most of New Mexico's border troops and denounced Trump's "charade of border fear-mongering."

An editorial in today's Los Angeles Times says it is "legitimate for Congress to ask if the President has been swayed by foreign and financial interests" and notes that the new investigation led by Adam Schiff will be "a dramatically more aggressive inquiry than the Republican-led House probe, which reported finding 'no evidence that the Trump campaign colluded, coordinated or conspired with the Russian government.'"

The editorial continues, "In a dissenting report, Democrats claimed that the majority failed to call key witnesses and request pertinent documents, omissions the new majority presumably will seek to rectify." The new investigation will focus on Trump's finances, Russia's election meddling, links between Russia and Trump and his associates, possible foreign leverage against Trump, possible foreign manipulation of Trump, and any attempts by Russia or the Trump administration to obstruct previous investigations. Whatever the new investigation finds, "Republicans as well as Democrats should be interested in the answers," the Times concludes.

I don't know how anyone can "fact-check" Donald Trump. He seldom presents any facts. Mostly he just lies -- and lies -- and lies.

Fact check: Trump claims a wall made El Paso safe. Data show otherwise.
Crime in the city, where Trump plans to hold a campaign rally tonight, had been falling since 1993 but a border fence wasn't completed until 2009.

The anti-wall march, which will end with a rally, is called "March for Truth: Stop the Wall, Stop the Lies." CNN's Jake Tapper told his viewers, "Trump is lying to you to get his wall." El Paso Mayor Dee Margo told CNN that Trump is "incorrect" in saying El Paso is dangerous and a border wall led to a decrease in crime. In fact, the number of violent crimes was higher in the three years following completion of the barrier. But the President refuses to give up on his dream of building the unnecessary, expensive, ineffective Trump Wall monument to himself. "Stop the lies"? No, he will never stop.

Beto O'Rourke will lead an anti-wall protest march through his hometown of El Paso as Trump holds a rally there
Trump said El Paso is one of the most dangerous cities in the US but O'Rourke, local politicians, law enforcement officials and statistics contradict Trump's claims.

Donald Trump hates people who tell lies about him -- but he really hates people who tell the truth about him.

The monthly Morning Consult polls show that since Trump took office, his popularity has fallen in every one of our nation's 50 states and in the District of Columbia. The two-year declines in Trump's approval rating ranged from 10% (Wyoming) to 35% (New Mexico).

Here's how Trump's approval rating has changed in each state in the two years he's been President

Trump's chief of staff knows Trump hates California and Puerto Rico so he's decided to take away disaster relief funds intended for California and Puerto Rico and take away money from two northern California flood control projects. That still won't give the President enough US taxpayer dollars so he can build the unnecessary, expensive, ineffective Trump Wall monument to himself, so Mulvaney also plans to take money from the Department of Defense budget. All of this will be done without the approval of Congress and without the approval of the Pentagon -- Trump is above the law, after all -- and all of it will be challenged in court.
