We know Donald Trump aspires to be a dictator like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un, Recep Erdoğan, Mohammed bin Salman and Abdullah Aziz Al Saud. He admires them and praises them and occasionally even writes love letters to them. At least one Republican Congressman is daring to criticize the President.

"The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me," retired Marine General John Kelly said of Donald Trump. Kelly is one of several former senior administration officials who will appear on an October 18 CNN special, The Insiders: A Warning From Former Trump Officials, to explain why Trump is unfit for office.

Trump was named "Man Of The Year" in Michigan? Really? Fifty thousand ballots were found in a river? Really? And Trump continues to insist China is paying for his tariffs and Mexico is paying for his stupid border wall. Really? If Biden is elected President, thousands of fact checkers will find themselves out of a job on January 20.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump vowed to get all the nation's coal miners back to work. Apparently he thought the year was 1840, not 2016. Anyway, this was just another of Trump's many hundreds of broken promises. In 2020, unfortunately, Trump is still opposed to clean energy.

Trump quietly demotes his top energy regulator
    CNN, Nov 6 2020 4:41 PM ET

President Donald Trump quietly demoted the nation's top federal energy regulator – a move that the regulator says may be retribution for his support of clean energy. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission announced Thursday evening that Trump had replaced Neil Chatterjee, the agency's chairman. Chatterjee has recently backed policies that support electric vehicles, rooftop solar and other clean energy solutions. Trump, by contrast, has fiercely backed coal – a fuel source that is rapidly losing ground to solar and wind. Trump is replacing Chatterjee as chairman with James Danly, who became a commissioner in March and opposed recent FERC orders that would support clean energy. Chatterjee will remain a FERC commissioner.

The exodus at the White House continues. Trump would love to also fire Dr. Anthony Fauci – but he can't because Fauci is a civil servant.

"You hate Muslims? So do I. You think Obama is a terrorist? So do I. You believe totally unfounded conspiracy theories? So do I. You worship me? I worship myself. You're hired!"

Controversial official who pushed conspiracy theories taking top Pentagon policy role
    CNN, Nov 10 2020 2:39 PM ET

Controversial retired Brigadier General Anthony Tata is being moved into the Pentagon's top policy role, taking over the duties of James Anderson, who resigned today. Tata was previously nominated to be undersecretary of defense for policy this summer but his nomination was withdrawn because of bipartisan opposition. CNN's KFile reported that he has made numerous Islamophobic and offensive comments and promoted conspiracy theories. After the withdrawal of his nomination, Tata was designated "the official Performing the Duties of the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Policy" reporting to Anderson.

In several tweets from 2018, Tata said Islam was the "most oppressive violent religion I know of" and claimed former President Barack Obama was a "terrorist leader" who did more to harm the US "and help Islamic countries than any President in history." Tata also repeatedly spread a number of conspiracy theories, including baseless claims that Obama's former CIA director, John Brennan, tried to overthrow Trump and even have him assassinated.

In his final ten weeks in office, Trump seems determined to wreak as much havoc as he can. "Help wanted: Sycophants who will pledge 100% loyalty to Donald Trump and worship him almost as much as he worships himself. Apply at White House."

Trump administration removes senior defense officials
and installs loyalists, triggering alarm at Pentagon

    CNN, Nov 10 2020 6:47 PM ET

The Trump administration has carried out sweeping changes atop the Defense Department's civilian leadership structure, removing several of the its most senior officials and replacing them with perceived loyalists to the President. The flurry of changes, announced by Department of Defense in a statement roughly 24 hours after President Donald Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper, have put officials inside the Pentagon on edge and fueled a growing sense of alarm among military and civilian officials who are concerned about what could come next.

Four senior civilian officials have been fired or resigned since Monday, including Esper, his chief of staff and the top officials overseeing policy and intelligence. They were replaced by perceived Trump loyalists, including a controversial figure who promoted fringe conspiracy theories and called Barack Obama a terrorist. While top officials have been dealing with Trump's unpredictable decision making since he took office, the current level of uncertainty has risen steadily since the election.

The chaos continues. Has anybody kept count of all the Trump aides, advisers, associates and Cabinet members who have been fired or have been asked to resign? Is it in the thousands yet?

From his plan to sell oil drilling leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to his proposal to sell $23 billion in arms to the United Arab Emirates, Trump is determined to do all the damage he can in his nine remaining weeks in office. He is also continuing to work on his program to "Make America White Again."
