    In France, thousands of people have been protesting a fuel tax hike that was set to take effect January 1. The hike has now been postponed for at least a year but demonstrators continue to rail against President Emmanuel Macron. They've been chanting "Macron, resign!" -- but our pompous, narcissistic, delusional Tweeter-In-Chief claims they're chanting "We want Trump!" Wow.

    I wonder how much longer the blindly loyal Republican rats who value their party above all else are going to continue to follow the orange-skinned Pied Piper.

    During the 2016 Presidential campaign, Donald Trump made hush-money payments to two women with whom he had affairs. The payments were made in an effort to influence the election and they constitute a felony violation of campaign finance laws. Trump today tweeted that the payments were merely a "simple private transaction" and are not a "smocking gun." Yes, he said "smocking." He also again called the Mueller investigation a "witch hunt." Here is the response from former CIA Director John Brennan:

    John O. Brennan
    @JohnBrennan
    Whenever you send out such inane tweets, I take great solace in knowing that you realize how much trouble you are in & how impossible it will be for you to escape American justice. Mostly, I am relieved that you will never have the opportunity to run for public office again.

    Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano, appearing this morning on the channel's America's Newsroom program, said Donald Trump could be charged with crimes and indicted for violating campaign finance laws by making hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal: "This is the Southern District of New York. This is the oldest and most prestigious federal prosecutors' office in the country. They would not make an allegation like that if they did not have corroborated evidence to support it and they would not make an allegation like that unless they’re going to do something with it."

    Wooh!

    Donald Trump, knowing he would likely lose the Presidential election if Americans learned of his affairs with Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, committed felony violations of campaign finance laws by making hush-money payments to the two women. He thought he would get away with it. And now.......

    Trump promised his immigrant-hating base that he would build a border wall and make Mexico pay for it. He is determined to keep that promise, even though Mexico will never pay for it, illegal immigration is declining and a border wall would have little effect on the number of immigrants (and drugs) coming into the US from Mexico. Trump is threatening to shut down the federal government if he doesn't get $5 billion (of taxpayer money) for his dumb wall. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are, in effect, telling him, "Fine, shut down the government."

    Pelosi questions Trump's manhood, compares him to skunk after border wall meeting
    CNN, Dec 11 2018 5:25 PM ET

    House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi privately questioned President Donald Trump's "manhood" after a contentious meeting today about funding his wall at the southern border. "It's like a manhood thing for him," Pelosi told Democratic members at a closed meeting of the Steering and Policy Committee on Capitol Hill, according to an aide in the room. "As if manhood could ever be associated with him. This wall thing."

    Pelosi, in a feisty mood after the heated exchange with the President, also compared the President to a skunk. "I was trying to be the mom," the California Democrat said, according to the aide. "I can't explain it to you. It was so wild. It goes to show you: You get into a tickle contest with a skunk, you get tinkle all over you."

    Nancy Pelosi's negative opinion of Trump's proposed border wall is similar to the view expressed in an editorial in today's Los Angeles Times which chastises Trump for his "bunker mentality" and his desire to create a "Fortress America."

    Trump's 'beautiful wall' is a vanity project and nothing more. Democrats should treat it as such.

    In 2016, Trump said if he were elected President he would surround himself "with the best and most serious people." I've lost count of how many of those "best people" have resigned, been fired or been indicted. The latest Trump appointee to lose his job is Peter O'Rourke.
