King Donald the First sues everybody who writes a book about him. He doesn't want anyone knowing the truth about him. Yesterday he sued his former national security adviser in an attempt to prevent the June 23 publication of a book that the publisher describes as an inside look at a "President addicted to chaos, who embraced our enemies and spurned our friends and was deeply suspicious of his own government." King Donald is even threatening to sue his niece, Mary Trump, who is planning to publish Too Much & Never Enough: How My Family Created The World's Most Dangerous Man. Same as all the world's dictators who have preceeded him, King Donald attempts to silence his critics, be they journalists, broadcasters, cabinet members or family members.

From the very beginning of his Presidential candidacy in 2016, Donald Trump has had two main goals. Regardless of what the goofy slogan on his goofy red caps says, he wants to "make america hate again" and "make America white again." Facebook and Twitter are finally standing up to him.

"For reasons that hardly need to be stated, the Court will not order a nationwide seizure and destruction of a political memoir," wrote the judge. I'm guessing the main reason has something to do with the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, an amendment King Donald supports only when it suits his self-centered purposes.

On May 29, the Tweeter-In-Chief warned protesters and rioters, "When the looting starts, the shooting starts." Today, the Tweeter-In-Chief declared that if protesters in Washington DC try to set up a Capitol Hill Organized Protest "autonomous zone" similar to the one in Seattle, "they will be met with serious force!" No need to make threats, King Donald. All you have to do is issue a royal decree, "Off with their heads!"

Analysis: Trump's latest moves aren't exactly a winning economic – or reelection – strategy
Matt Egan, CNN. Jun 24 2020 4:31 PM ET

President Donald Trump's latest economic policies are the opposite of the emergency aid that Corporate America and Wall Street are clamoring for. Trump may be calculating that tougher stances on immigration and trade could score him points in November. But they could backfire by making it harder for the economy to recover from this historic recession. Trump is suddenly ramping up trade fights with two of the nation's biggest trading partners, threatening to slap tariffs on goods from Europe such as chocolate, butter and beer made with malt and reportedly pushing to reimpose tariffs on aluminum imports from Canada. Meanwhile, Trump this week also extended immigration restrictions, which could make it harder for businesses to find the skilled foreign workers they rely on. All of this is happening during a drumbeat of bad coronavirus news, as infections surge in several areas.

Twitch is joining Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in opposing Trump's ongoing "Make America Hate Again" campaign.

    Twitch suspends Trump campaign account
    CNN, Jun 29 2020 3:35 PM ET

Twitch, the video streaming service popular with online gamers, has suspended an account belonging to the Trump campaign, becoming the latest tech platform to take action against President Donald Trump. "In line with our policies banning hateful speech, President Trump's channel has been issued a temporary suspension from Twitch for comments made on stream, and the offending content has been removed," said Brielle Villablanca, a Twitch spokesperson. That content included a video of Trump's 2016 campaign rally in which he called Mexicans rapists and criminals. Video of that rally was recently rebroadcast on Twitch, the company said. Another video that Twitch said violated its policies was video of Trump's recent Tulsa rally, in which Trump spoke hypothetically of "a very tough hombre" breaking into the house of a "young woman." Twitch is stepping up its efforts to combat hate and abuse on its platform.

Trump commutes Roger Stone's prison sentence
    CNN, Jul 10 2020 9:28 PM ET

President Donald Trump today commuted the prison sentence of his longtime friend Roger Stone, who was convicted of crimes that included lying to Congress in part, prosecutors said, to protect the President. The announcement came just days before Stone was set to report to a federal prison in Georgia. Stone was convicted in November of seven charges – including lying to Congress, witness tampering and obstructing a Congressional committee proceeding – as part of former special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation. Among the things he misled Congress about were his communications with Trump campaign officials, communications that prosecutors said Stone hid out of his desire to protect Trump.

Trump's decision to pardon his friend and political adviser is the crescendo of a months-long effort to rewrite the history of the Mueller investigation. This has included selective declassification of intelligence materials, a ramped-up counter-investigation into the origins of the Russia probe and attempts to drop the case against Michael Flynn. The President has broad constitutional power to pardon or commute sentences but Trump is unlike almost any other President in how he's used the power proactively to save political allies.

Trump lapdog Kayleigh McEnany said Roger Stone is "a victim of the Russia hoax that the left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency." Really? The Russia investigation began with FBI director James Comey, a Republican, acting on a tip. It was not a hoax, nor was it "perpetuated" by Democrats or the media. Trump fired Comey and replaced him with Rod Rosenstein, another Republican. Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller, another Republican, to continue the investigation. As the above article notes, Trump continues to try to rewrite the history of the Mueller investigation. Rewriting history is something all good dictators do. The orange-skinned parrot keeps squawking, "Hoax! Witch hunt! Fake news! Hoax! Witch hunt! Fake news! Awwrrkkk!"

Roger Stone, writes Robert Mueller, "lied repeatedly to members of Congress. He lied about the identity of his intermediary to WikiLeaks. He lied about the existence of written communications with his intermediary. He lied by denying he had communicated with the Trump campaign about the timing of WikiLeaks' releases. He in fact updated senior campaign officials repeatedly about WikiLeaks. And he tampered with a witness, imploring him to stonewall Congress." Stone is a convicted felon – and Trump's commutation of Stone's prison sentence does not change that fact. Now Trump can get back to campaigning for re-relection by insisting he's a "law-and-order" candidate.
