    Jessye Mae Norman began singing at age four, earned a degree in music from Howard University and earned a master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance. In 1972, she debuted at La Scala, singing the title role in Aida. Norman released more than 80 albums. She favored the music of Strauss, Mahler and Wagner.

    From 1959 to 1965, Watkins played guitar with Dr. Feelgood & The Interns. a sextet led by Willie "Piano Red" Perryman. They had two hits in 1962, Dr. Feelgood and Right String But The Wrong Yo-Yo. The B-side of Dr. Feelgood was Mr. Moonlight, which was written by guitarist Roy Lee Johnson and would soon be recorded by the Hollies, the Beatles and the Merseybeats. Watkins later played alongside James Brown, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Otis Redding and Koko Taylor. She released her first album when she was 60. Three more would follow.

    McGrath released eight albums. The first was a duet album with Don Potter in 1969; the most recent came out in 2012. McGrath wrote songs for Kenny Rogers, Chely Wright, Chad Austin, Chalee Tennison, Earl Thomas Conley and other artists. He co-wrote Come Some Rainy Day, which became a #14 country hit for Wynonna in March 1998. McGrath was born in Rochester, New York and was inducted into the city's Music Hall Of Fame in 2012.

    In 1990, bassist/vocalist Kim Shattuck left the all-female rock band The Pandoras and co-founded a punk-rock band, The Muffs. They released seven studio albums and 12 singles. Among their best-known songs: Big Mouth, Sad Tomorrow, End It All, Lucky Guy, Outer Space, Weird Boy Next Door and a remake of Kim Wilde's Kids In America. Following Shattuck's death today, The Muffs disbanded.

    Zaslove was an animator and producer/director for dozens of animated movies and tv series including Popeye, DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, Woody Woodpecker, Mr. Magoo, Roger Ramjet, The Smurfs and George Of The Jungle. He also worked on A Charlie Brown Christmas and was co-creator of Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers.

    Charles Elmer "Rip" Taylor Jr. was known for his wild clothing, his toupee, his handlebar mustache and his confetti throwing. Wow, what a great legacy! Taylor was a semi-regular panelist on various television game shows, was a regular on The Brady Bunch Hour, appeared in two episodes of The Monkees and voiced characters in several animated films and tv series.
