Jay liked to perform in small clubs where everyone could clearly see his card tricks and sleight of hand -- and then go crazy trying to figure out how he did them.

Kuma, a dog who could do 75 tricks, appeared in three movies and two tv series, most notably Disney Channel's Dog With A Blog. Kuma played Stan, a dog who talked -- the kids knew; the parents did not -- and who used a keyboard and computer to make nightly posts to his blog. Actor/comedian Stephen Full provided Stan's voice and Stan really did have an online blog -- but it was created by Disney, not by a dog. Kuma was replaced by a similar-looking dog early in the series' first season.

In her first credited role in a movie, Carey played Josephine "Joey" McReynolds, the rebellious daughter of a wealthy rancher, in El Dorado, released in December 1966 in Japan and June 1967 in the US. She shoots Cole Thornton, played by John Wayne -- but don't worry; the wound isn't fatal. She next co-starred in an Elvis Presley movie, Live A Little, Love A Little, as an eccentric woman who kept changing her name and her personality. The film did poorly and Elvis would make only three more movies.

Michele Carey, actress in El Dorado and Live A Little, Love A Little, dies at 75
