How old was Ric Ocasek when he died? ABC, Variety and USA TODAY reported that Ocasek was 75. MSN, WGBH-TV, IMDB, PageSix and AllMusic said he was born in 1949. PageSix later edited their story to change Ocasek's age from 70 to 75. Public records give his birth year as 1949. Joel Whitburn, whose RecordResearch.com publishes music reference books based on Billboard charts, is a stickler for accuracy. Whitburn gives Ocasek's birth year as 1949. Yesterday, the Wikipedia entry gave 1949 as Ocasek's birth year; today, it's been changed to "1944 (disputed)."

Roberts, born Mary Martha Corinne Morrison Claiborne Boggs, got her nickname as a child. Her brother repeatedly mispronounced "Corinne" as "Cokie." Don't ask me how. Roberts was a reporter, commentator, news analyst and political corespondent for CBS, ABC and PBS and was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall Of Fame in 2000
