    In real life, MacGregor, who appeared in many stage plays, televison shows and tv-movies prior to landing the role of Harriet Oleson in Little House, was kind and caring and had a sense of humor -- but her tv character, as co-star Melissa Gilbert put it, was "the woman our fans loved to hate."

    Kaiser played piano and organ and released 18 albums on Word Records. He wrote more than 300 contemporary Christian songs and hymns. He produced and arranged albums for Burl Ives, Ethel Waters, Kathleen Battle, Joni Eareckson, George Beverly Shea, Tennessee Ernie Ford and other artists. Kaiser was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from ASCAP in 1992 and was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall Of Fame in 2001.

    Roy Clark had 22 top-40 country hits. His only number one was Come Live With Me in 1973. Among his other hits: Honeymoon Feelin', I Never Picked Cotton, Thank God & Greyhound, Tips Of My Fingers, If I Had To Do It All Over Again and Yesterday When I Was Young.

    Goldman won an Academy Award in 1969 for best screenplay (Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid) and another in 1976 for best screenplay adaptation (of the Carl Bernstein-Bob Woodward book All The President's Men). Both movies starred Robert Redford.
