Vain, pompous, egotistical, narcissistic Donald Trump, who is obsessed with crowd sizes, television ratings and his number of Facebook followers, claims nobody will want to watch a President Biden on television and "with no ratings, media will go down along with our great USA." Welcome to Trumpworld, the land of delusions.

Trump says a President Biden would get 'no ratings'
President Trump, whose halting leadership in the face of the coronavirus pandemic Americans increasingly question, doubled down today on boasting about his one undisputed success: his ability to command media attention.

The words "trump" and "truth" might appear on the same page in the dictionary – but when it comes to Donald Trump, truth is a billion light-years away.......if it exists at all.

The vain, pompous, narcissistic, egotistical blowhard who occupies the White House believes he will easily win re-election because, for one reason, "Our poll numbers are rising fast." Welcome to Trumpworld, the land of delusions.

A new Ipsos poll of registered voters shows Biden leading Trump 47% to 37%. A new YouGov poll shows Biden leading 49% to 40%. Democrats have not controlled the Senate since January 2015. They're hopeful of winning at least 51 seats in the November 3 elections and regaining control. Right now the Republicans hold 53 seats, Democrats hold 45 and independents hold two.

In the 2018 Presidential election, 23.1% of ballots were cast by mail. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, it would make sense to expand vote-by-mail in 2020 – but Donald Trump insists mail-in ballots lead to widespread voter fraud, mail-in ballots favor Democrats over Republicans and ballots will be stolen from mailboxes. There is zero evidence to support any of those claims. Last month he tweeted yet another outrageous claim: "Rigged 2020 election: Millions of mail-in ballots will be printed by foreign countries. It will be the scandal of our times!" Welcome to Trumpworld, the land of delusions.

GOP to Trump: Change tune on mail-in voting or risk ugly November
    CNN, Jul 16 2020 9:03 PM ET

Republican officials throughout the country are reacting with growing alarm to President Donald Trump's attacks on mail-in ballots, saying his unsubstantiated claims of mass voting fraud are already corroding the views of GOP voters, who may ultimately choose not to vote at all if they can't make it to the polls come November. Behind the scenes, top Republicans are urging senior Trump campaign officials to press the President to change his messaging and embrace mail-in voting, warning that the party could lose the battle for control of Congress and the White House if he doesn't change his tune. The impact could be detrimental to the GOP up and down the ticket, according to a bevy of Republican election officials, field operatives, pollsters and lawmakers who are watching the matter closely. Every vote will count in critical battleground states, they argue, fearful that deterring GOP voters from choosing a convenient option to cast their ballots could ultimately sway the outcome of races that are decided by a couple of percentage points.

When she was running for President – she withdrew from the race December 3, 2019 – California Senator Kamala Harris didn't get much support, not even in her home state. Oddsmakers now have her as the favorite to be Biden's running mate. The election is 109 days away. Hurry up and pick someone, Joe!

Trump and Pence are resorting to the familiar, tried-and-true campaign tactic of Republicans: When you can't point to anything good that you've accomplished, just ruthlessly and relentlessly attack your opponent and smear him with lies, accusations, fearmongering and conspiracy theories.

Trump and Pence attempt a campaign reset as public trust falters
    CNN, Jul 18 2020 10:58 AM ET

President Donald Trump attempted to right his faltering reelection campaign this week, looking to stem the steady decline of his poll numbers and shore up eroding support within his key voting bloc – non-college-educated white voters – by redefining his fight against Joe Biden and shaking up his campaign team after a series of stumbles. Trump spent little time trying to lead America out of its coronavirus crisis this week, which was bookended by an erratic Rose Garden press conference Tuesday and a sharply worded campaign speech by Vice President Mike Pence in Wisconsin Friday afternoon.

Clearly losing the battle on messaging, the President and his team sought to reframe the 2020 election as a choice between their agenda of "freedom and opportunity" and what Pence claimed is Biden's vision of an America under "growing control of the state" – a future he said would lead to "socialism and decline." Their aim – in keeping with the President's relentless push to reopen the US economy regardless of the human cost – is to get Americans to focus on anything other than the raging virus while distracting from the administration's flawed effort to control it earlier this year, a diversionary tactic that has not worked so far. After aggressive race-baiting earlier this summer, the Trump team is pivoting with greater focus to the longtime GOP tactic of trying to paint their Democratic opponent as weak and ill-equipped to protect and defend America.

Keep in mind that every poll showing Biden ahead of Trump is fake. Trump says so – and Trump never lies. Well.....not more than a thousand times a day, anyway.

New polls show Joe Biden is winning suburbanites by a historic margin
    CNN, Jul 19 2020 12:09 PM ET

The new ABC News/Washington Post poll is the latest to show former Vice President Joe Biden on a roll. He leads President Donald Trump 55% to 40% among registered voters. (It's a slightly tighter 54% to 44% among likely voters). The poll comes on top of other surveys last week from Fox News, NBC News/Wall Street Journal and Quinnipiac University giving Biden anywhere from an 8 to 15 point advantage. Biden's advantage in the polls is most evident in the suburbs, where he is earning a historic amount of support for a Democrat. Biden is up by a 52% to 43% margin among suburban voters in the ABC News/Washington Post poll.
