King Donald's blindly loyal supporters believe everything he says on Twitter and in press conferences and they get all their news from Fox News, a.k.a. the Trump Cheerleading Channel. Former Obama campaign strategists David Plouffe and David Axelrod say for Joe Biden to compete against King Donald's domination of social media, he needs to "transform a campaign that lagged behind many of his Democratic competitors during the primary in its use of digital media and timely, state-of-the-art communications techniques. While television remains a potent force, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok are all essential in a COVID-19 world in which candidate travel and voter contact will be severely limited."

The last incumbent President to lose his bid for re-election was George H.W. Bush in 1992. Unemployment was then at 7.5%. In May 2020, with a Presidential election just six months away, unemployment is at 14.7%. Something to think about.

Analysis: Biden's lead is the steadiest on record
    CNN, May 10 2020 11:10 AM

A new Monmouth University poll finds that former Vice President Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump 50% to 41%. When Representative Justin Amash is included as the Libertarian Party candidate, it's Biden 47%, Trump 40% and Amash 5%. The poll is largely in line with the average poll since April that puts Biden six points ahead of Trump nationally. Biden's lead is about as steady as it can possibly be. Not only is he up six points over the last month but the average of polls since the beginning of the year has him ahead by six points. Moreover, all the polls taken since the beginning of 2019 have him up six points. The steadiness in the polls is record breaking. Biden's advantage is the steadiest in a race with an incumbent running since 1944. While steadiness in the 2020 race so far projects forward to minimal movement from here on out, it doesn't in any way guarantee Biden a win. There's still a range of results possible.

Former Republican Justin Amash was considering running for President as a Libertarian. Recent polls showed his Presidential bid would take more votes away from Biden than from Trump. That is no longer an issue. "I’ve concluded," Amash said yesterday, "that circumstances don’t lend themselves to my success." Gee, ya think?

King Donald the First voted by absentee ballot in Florida but he is opposed to anyone else voting by mail. There will be voter fraud, he insists – while providing absolutely no evidence. Voting by mail favors Democrats and will hurt Republicans, he insists – while providing absolutely no evidence. He and his blindly loyal lackeys in Congress are challenging every state that wants to use vote-by-mail in November. In Trumpworld, if tens of millions of Americans vote at a polling place and hundreds of thousands of them wind up contracting COVID-19 and dying, that's a small price to pay to prevent all the "voter fraud" King Donald insists will happen – while providing absolutely no evidence.

Republicans file lawsuit in attempt to stop Governor Newsom's mail-in ballot plan
    Newsmax, May 25 2020 3:43 PM

The Republican Party is taking California Governor Gavin Newsom to court over plans to send all voters mail-in ballots for the general election. The Republican National Committee, National Republican Congressional Committee and California Republican Party filed a lawsuit Sunday against Newsom and Secretary of State Alex Padilla in the US District Court for the Eastern District of California. The Republicans allege Newsom's decision to provide voters with mail-in ballots is unconstitutional and could lead to voter fraud. In their complaint, the groups called the Democratic Governor's action an illegal "usurpation of the legislature's authority. This brazen power grab was not authorized by state law and violates both the Elections Clause and Electors Clause of the US Constitution."

The lawsuit challenges a May 8 order that Newsom signed stating that every registered California voter would be sent a mail-in ballot because of concerns about the spread of coronavirus. "Elections and the right to vote are foundational to our democracy," Newsom said in a statement. "No Californian should be forced to risk their health in order to exercise their right to vote."

In 2016, Donald Trump said the debates are rigged, the polls are rigged, the poll questions are rigged, news coverage is rigged, the nominating conventions are rigged, the primaries are rigged, the voting machines are rigged, the ballots are rigged, the Electoral College is rigged.....everything was "rigged" until the Electoral College awarded him the Presidency even though he lost the popular vote. Then he quit saying everything is rigged – until today. Once again, he makes outrageous claims with absolutely no evidence. The Tweeter-In-Chief wrote, "There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-In Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent. Mail boxes will be robbed, ballots will be forged & even illegally printed out & fraudulently signed." And yes, this is the same man who voted by absentee ballot in Florida.

Fact-checkers have a relatively easy job when it comes to statements made by King Donald the First. They know that 99.9% of everything he says is a lie, a misstatement or an exaggeration. All they have to do is report the truth.

Twitter fact-checks Trump, slaps warning labels on his tweets about mail-in ballots
    CNBC, May 26 2020 6:12 PM EDT

President Donald Trump's favorite social media platform, Twitter, today began fact-checking his posts. Twitter's move marked the first time that the social media giant has fact-checked the president within its own platform. "Get the facts about mail-in ballots," said Twitter's warning labels below two of Trump's tweets that made misleading claims about mail-in voting. When clicked, the links lead users to a page that in part reads: "Trump falsely claimed mail-in ballots would lead to 'a Rigged Election.' However, fact-checkers say there is no evidence that mail-in ballots are linked to voter fraud." A Twitter spokesperson told CNBC the tweets "contain potentially misleading information about voting processes and have been labeled to provide additional context around mail-in ballots."

Trump's critics have long called on Twitter to take action against Trump's use of the platform. Of the 18,000-plus false or misleading claims Trump has made as President, more than 3,300 of them were made in tweets, according to The Washington Post.

King Donald the First claims, with zero evidence, that mail-in ballots will be "fraudulent" and "forged" and will result in a "rigged election." Twitter calls him out on his lies. King Donald is now stopping just short of orcering, "Off with their heads!" He's threatening to "strongly regulate, or close them down" for silencing "conservative voices" and "interfering in the 2020 election." Twitter isn't "interfering." Twitter is merely telling the truth, in contrast to King Donald's lies. "Big action to follow," King Donald tweeted. Seeking to silence all critics is one of the hallmarks of a dictator. One hundred sixty days till election day.

Biden has said if he is elected President he will serve only one term. His running mate could become President in 2025. In a recent Morning Consult poll, Democratic voters – especially blacks and Hispanics – favored Elizabeth Warren as a running mate. Warren also leads the other potential candidates in likability. Hurry up and decide, Joe!

Joe Biden says he hopes to name running mate by August 1
The presumptive Democratic candidate for President said his campaign had already interviewed the candidates on his shortlist, all of them women.

Elizabeth Warren does not appeal to very many young voters, black voters and Hispanic voters – and Biden needs a running mate who does. Hurry up and decide, Joe! One hundred fifty-six days till election day.

In an average of all polls conducted May 13-28, Biden holds a 5.9-point lead over King Donald. Considering how each man has responded to the death of George Floyd and the ensuing protests, demonstrations, rioting and looting – Biden denounced police brutality and racial injustice; Trump made racist comments and threatened to shoot and kill looters – Biden's lead will likely grow. One hundred fifty-five days till election day.
