Florida Republicans are pouring out of the trenches. After weeks of Democrats outvoting them by mail, Republican voters stormed early voting precincts in person this week, taking large bites out of their opponents' historic lead in pre-Election Day ballots. The Democratic advantage was still huge as of this morning: 387,000 ballots. But that’s a 21% reduction from three days prior. The election is in ten days.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that he saw nothing criminal in Hunter Biden’s past business ties with Ukraine or Russia, marking out his disagreement with one of Donald Trump's attack lines in the US Presidential election. Putin was responding to comments made by Trump during televised debates with Democratic challenger Joe Biden ahead of the November 3 election. Trump, who is trailing in opinion polls, has used the debates to make accusations that Biden and his son Hunter engaged in unethical practices in Ukraine. No evidence has been verified to support the allegations and Joe Biden has called them false and discredited.

The two largest US flight attendant unions endorsed Democratic candidate Joe Biden today ahead of the Presidential election next week. The unions have been pressing Congress and Republican President Donald Trump to back $25 billion in additional payroll assistance to prevent 32,000 airline furloughs. The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, representing the 27,000 American Airlines flight attendants, and the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA that represents about 50,000 workers at 20 airlines, said in separate statements they are endorsing Biden.
