Because a far greater number of Democrats than Republicans use vote-by-mail, Republicans are doing everything they can to restrict vote-by-mail so they can rig the election in Donald Trump's favor. They have no shame, no ethics and no morals. All that matters to them is extending King Donald's reign by four years.

Mail-in voting rules still up in the air as Republicans appeal election decisions
Fewer than 40 days are left in the election but Democrats, Republicans and voting rights advocates are still fighting over election rules in the courts.

Analysis: There's a historic insurrection against Donald Trump happening within the GOP
Chris Cillizza, Sep 28 2020 12:07 PM ET

There's a revolution happening within the GOP right under our noses. The latest sign came Sunday, when former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge penned an op-ed in the Philadelphia Inquirer making clear his intent to vote for former Vice President Joe Biden over President Donald Trump in November. "He lacks the empathy, integrity, intellect and maturity to lead," Ridge, who also served as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security in the Bush administration, wrote of Trump.

Ridge joins fellow Bush Cabinet secretaries Christine Todd Whitman, Ann Veneman, Carlos Gutierrez and Colin Powell as Biden endorsers. Ray LaHood, a former Republican Congressman from Illinois, and Chuck Hagel, the former Nebraska Republican Senator, both of whom served in the Obama Cabinet, have also backed Biden. Many other prominent GOP elected officials, including former Ohio Governor John Kasich, former California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, 2016 Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and former Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, are on record as either planning to vote for Biden or leaning in that direction. More than 70 national security officials from various Republican administrations are backing Biden, as are more than 150 alums of the George W. Bush White House.

At the first Trump-Biden debate, Trump chose to be a bully and a loudmouth, spewing lies and accusations and constantly interrupting Biden and moderator Chris Wallace. At one point, Wallace asked Trump if he would like to switch places with him.

Weird Al Yankovic has outdone himself. In his new video, We're All Doomed, he is moderating the Trump-Biden debate and clips of Trump and Biden have been edited so they appear to be singing their answers. This is hilarious!

The dirty tricks of the Trump campaign just keep getting dirtier and dirtier.

Fact check: Trump campaign runs Facebook ads featuring fake image of Biden wearing earpiece
    CNN, Oct 2 2020 8:18 PM

President Donald Trump's campaign has been serially dishonest on social media, repeatedly using altered or deceptively clipped videos and images to try to make opponent Joe Biden appear senile. The Trump campaign is now running yet another series of inaccurate ads. Trump allies baselessly hinted before Tuesday's Presidential debate that Biden was seeking to use an earpiece on stage, presumably to get real-time instructions from advisers. Biden did not wear an earpiece and there is no evidence he ever sought to wear one. But the Trump campaign nonetheless launched a series of still-image Facebook ads that purport to show a photo of Biden wearing an Apple-style white earpiece in his right ear. The image of Biden wearing an earpiece is not authentic. The image was manipulated to add the earpiece to a real photo that shows Biden without an earpiece.

Trump's senior campaign adviser Jason Miller told ABC's George Stephanopoulos today that Trump takes the CDC's coronavirus health guidelines "very seriously." Umm....no, he doesn't. Miller also said Joe Biden "too often has used the mask as a prop. He could be 20, 30 feet away from the nearest person and still have the mask on." And, Jason, your point is.....? Before you answer, keep in mind that Trump has COVID-19 and Biden does not.

"Okay, look, it was no big deal that I got COVID-19, okay? Hey, I left the hospital and rode around with a mask on to show everyone how strong I am. When I got back to the White House, I took off my mask to show everyone how strong I am. I am a strong President, okay? The strongest in history, if you want to know the truth. Voters should not be turning against me, okay? I deserve four more years. Maybe even eight or twelve."

FiveThirtyEight.com's latest average of national Presidential polls shows Biden leading Trump 51.7% to 42.2%. Biden is leading by 9.8% in New Hampshire, 8.8% in Minnesota, 7.7% in Michigan, 6.9% in both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, 4.6% in Florida, 4.4% in Arizona and 2.5% in North Carolina. Those states are crucial to Biden's chances of winning the White House.

Biden crosses 270 threshold in CNN's Electoral College outlook for first time
    CNN, Oct 7 2020 7:03 PM

Joe Biden is surging in the battle for the White House with less than four weeks to go until Election Day. In our latest Electoral College outlook, the Democratic Presidential nominee crosses the 270 threshold for the first time this year. If you add up the states that are currently rated as solidly in his camp (203 electoral votes) and those leaning in his direction (87 electoral votes), it brings his total to 290 electoral votes.

As President Donald Trump remains infected with coronavirus and absent from the campaign trail, his campaign finds itself in its worst political position since the start of the campaign season. The President had a disastrous debate performance last week and his response to contracting COVID-19 was to tell the country not to worry about it and to demonstrate a brazen lack of leadership by removing his mask on a White House balcony overlooking the South Lawn for all the world to see – precisely the move that nearly every scientist and expert says goes against promoting the best weapon we currently have to combat the virus.

Perhaps the fly landed on Pence's head because Pence is so full of.....no, no, I won't say it.

The Biden campaign started selling fly swatters right after the debate. They've already sold out.
    CNN, Oct 8 2020 3:40 PM ET

The Biden campaign didn't miss a beat trying to capitalize on the, um, buzz of the vice presidential debate. Within minutes of the debate wrapping up Wednesday, the Biden campaign tweeted a photo of Joe Biden with a fly swatter and a caption that said, "Pitch in $5 to help this campaign fly." In case you missed it: A fly very noticeably landed on Vice President Mike Pence's stiffly coiffed head as he debated Senator Kamala Harris. The fly lingered and the internet couldn't stop talking about it. Two hours later, the Biden campaign website was peddling $10 "Truth Over Flies" swatters. Within a few hours more, the nearly 35,000 swatters had sold out.

Commission cancels second debate between Trump and Biden
    CNN, Oct 9 2020 7:01 PM ET

The Commission on Presidential Debates today canceled the second debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden after the President declined to do a virtual debate despite concerns over his Covid-19 diagnosis. The cancellation is the culmination of a furious 48-hour back-and-forth between the commission and both campaigns and means what would have been the third debate in Nashville on October 22 will likely be the final meeting between the two candidates.

"It is now apparent there will be no debate on October 15 and the CPD will turn its attention to preparations for the final Presidential debate scheduled for October 22," the commission said in a statement. The commission, with the backing of their health advisers, announced on Thursday morning that – because Trump tested positive for the coronavirus – the debate that was scheduled for Miami would be held virtually, with the two candidates appearing from remote locations. Trump swiftly rejected that plan, saying he would not show up.
