    This latest wildfire began shortly after 6 AM and has burned more than 400 acres in four hours. High winds are pushing it toward the 23 Freeway, which is now shut down. The Kincade fire has burned 76,825 acres (120 square miles) and is 30% contained.

    In only eight hours, the Easy fire in Simi Valley has burned 1,300 acres (two square miles) and is threatening 6,500 homes. A new blaze, the Hill fire, has burned 100 acres in Jurupa Valley in Riverside County. The Getty fire has burned 750 acres and destroyed 12 homes and is 27% contained.

    A new fire burning in the Waterman Canyon area of north San Bernardino is the 12th major fire in California this month. The Jurupa Valley fire is at 300 acres and has destroyed several homes. The Getty fire has burned 745 acres and 13 homes and is 30% contained. The Tick fire burned 4,615 acres and is finally fully contained. The Easy fire has burned 1,700 acres and arson investigators believe it may have started in a homeless encampment. The Kincade fire has burned 78,625 acres (123 square miles) and is 60% contained. Whew!

    The Kincade fire is now 65% contained after destroying 350 homes and other structures. The Getty fire is 52% contained and the Hillside fire in San Bernardino is 50% contained. A new wildfire, the Maria fire, started three hours ago and has already burned 750 acres south of Santa Paula in Ventura County. The area has a lot of avocado farms and citrus orchards. Moderate winds are pushing flames westward.

    The Kincade fire is now 68% contained and the Hillside fire is 50% contained. he Maria fire has burned 9,000 acres (14 square miles) in just 24 hours.

    Firefighters were starting to get some control over this blaze and then came strong overnight winds. Containment is now zero and thousands of homes in Somis and Santa Paula are threatened.

    Many multi-million-dollar homes are located in the Hollywood Hills south of Burbank. Among the celebrities who live there are Keanu Reeves, Zac Efron, Calvin Klein, Chef Bobby Flay and Leonardo DiCaprio. Universal Studios and the Hollywood Bowl are nearby. This fire started near Barham Boulevard. It has burned 34 acres and is 15% contained.

    This huge blaze in Cherry Valley, near Beaumont, is a merger of three smaller fires. Some residents reported seeing a man start the fires. Yeah, arson. Lovely.

    More than 1,200 firefighters are now battling this blaze. It has burned slightly more than 32 square miles. The fire began near Oak Glen Road and Apple Tree Lane, north of Cherry Valley. The area is home to several apple orchards and cider presses, a small zoo and a museum.
