The Lakers have won 26 games this season. That is as many as they won all of last season. They still are not in the playoffs but they are getting better. They are shooting a lot more three-pointers too.

This story is from ESPN. The people who are trying to get a hockey team in Seattle are hoping to get a basketball team too. Seattle used to have the SuperSonics but they moved to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder.

Since Lonzo Ball came back from his knee injury he has been playing better defense. The Lakers beat the Spurs tonight and they have now won 28 games and I think they have a good chance to make the playoffs. They have not been in the playoffs since 2013.

This is a story about all the billboards that say LeBron James should come to L.A. He will be a free agent this year but I do not think he would be a good fit with the Lakers. I think he will wind up staying in Cleveland.

The season is not over for three more weeks and ESPN is already saying James Harden will be the MVP. I think he will win too. The Rockets are the best team right now. But I thought the Lakers would be in the playoffs and now I don't think they will make it. The Clippers probably will not make the playoffs either.

Who came up with the idiotic idea of turning basketball into a circus? The Spurs are replacing their female cheerleading squad with a 35-member coed "hype team" of tumblers, acrobats and stunt artists. Fans, understandably, are outraged.

Is it any wonder why he's called "King James"? LeBron James has now won 24 consecutive Eastern Conference playoff series and he's heading to the Championship Series for the eighth consecutive year. Tonight he helped the Cavaliers win their decisive seventh game against the Celtics. Cleveland will play for the championship against the Rockets or the Warriors, who play their decisive game tomorrow night, May 28. The Finals begin May 31.
