He had a dream -- and, sadly, that dream still has not come to fruition. This is from Talkers.com, April 3:

"Tomorrow (4/4), SiriusXM is honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King on the anniversary of his assassination in Memphis 50 years ago. SiriusXM host and human rights activist Joe Madison will broadcast his daily morning show live from Ben’s Chili Bowl on Urban View, Channel 126. The popular D.C. restaurant was frequented by Dr. King during his life and remained open during the riots that ensued following his assassination. Other programming will take place across the satcaster’s Progress and POTUS channels."

SiriusXM's POTUS channel is about to become Knoxville. (Yes, I know that is a bad pun.) This is from Talkers.com, April 5:

SiriusXM brings journalism pro Oliver Knox aboard

Political journalist Oliver Knox joins SiriusXM to serve as chief Washington correspondent. Knox worked for 15 years for Agence France-Presse covering US politics. He’s covered six presidential campaigns and has deep knowledge of the inner-workings of Capitol Hill and the White House. In July, he will be appointed president of the White House Correspondents Association, for which he currently serves as vice president. In this role for SiriusXM, Knox will cover the day’s top news stories and provide analysis for all of SiriusXM’s political channels, effective Monday, April 16. In the coming months, Knox will also host his own live weeknight show on the POTUS channel (124).

"Prom" is an expression used by high-schoolers. It's short for "Promise you won't dance with anyone but me." (Just take my word for that. You don't need to look it up.) Prom Radio will air from April 16 through May 11 on SiriusXM Channel 4. Here is the official announcement:

Remember your prom song? Prom Radio on SiriusXM sure does.

This is from Talkers.com, May 14 -- but does anyone still listen to Howard Stern? On the two or three days each week that he still works, I mean?

"SiriusXM Satellite Radio begins its first-ever free preview to non-subscribers in an effort to promote its newly re-designed app for iOS and Android. Today through May 29, anyone with an inactive satellite radio or who has an internet connected mobile device and/or web access can sample SiriusXM’s content without any registration requirements. The deal includes access to all music and talk channels, including Howard Stern’s channels."

Many years ago, KFI-Los Angeles sports reporter Rich Marrotta gave a perfect description of auto racing. In a hillbilly voice, he said, "Ooh, look at all the lil' cars go 'round and 'round!" I can't imagine anyone wanting to listen to a radio broadcast of an auto race, but just in case, here is the press release:

Indianapolis 500 to air live nationwide on SiriusXM

SiriusXM, the Official Satellite Radio Partner of INDYCAR, the sanctioning body for the Verizon IndyCar Series, announced today that it will offer live coverage of the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500. SiriusXM listeners will have access to the live call of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" from Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 27, on Sirius channel 219, XM channel 209 and on the SiriusXM app.

SiriusXM’s race-day coverage begins at 10 am ET. Leading up to the green flag, listeners will hear expert commentary and analysis from the Advance Auto Parts INDYCAR Radio Network broadcast team, plus interviews with drivers and others. When the green flag drops shortly after 12 pm ET, SiriusXM will air the race live in its entirety, followed by a post-race recap and interviews.

This Town Hall will be.....ahem....fun fun fun. Here is the July 24 SiriusXM press release:

SiriusXM presents Beach Boys Town Hall in Hollywood

SiriusXM announced today that the Beach Boys will sit down for an intimate Q&A session with a select group of listeners for the SiriusXM Town Hall series at the legendary Capitol Studios in Hollywood on July 30. The session will be moderated by Emmy award-winning actor, director, producer and writer Rob Reiner and will air on August 10 at 5 PM ET/PT on Good Vibrations: The Beach Boys Channel (channel 4.)

In a rare live group appearance, founding members Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine and David Marks along with long time Beach Boy Bruce Johnston will gather to speak with Reiner and answer questions from fans about their SiriusXM channel, their new album The Beach Boys With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and their celebrated career as one of the world's most beloved and respected bands. Fittingly, the Town Hall will take place at the Capitol Records Tower, the home of the band's first major label affiliation and the studio where they recorded some of their early material.

Jerry Schilling, the Beach Boys' manager, said, "This will be a historic event, as five band members gather for a conversation with their fans and Rob Reiner. They have not all been in the same place since their 50th anniversary shows in 2012. This is a rare and special moment for the band and SiriusXM listeners. It's been a pleasure working with SiriusXM to make this happen."
