Answer this..........Why Oct. 6th?
October 6th is a full moon?
It's probably just an abritrary launch date, needed time to get things together. Not everything can be launched with glorious fanfare. Would have been cool if they rolled it all out on Labor Day though.
I found out that on October 6th 1889 Thomas Edison introduced his first motion picture. Far fetched this could imply that the new XM wearable will do videos.
It's also a monday, and I'm assuming its the first monday after the end of 3Q.

The reason I ask is because it is difficult to pick a date like that unless you are pretty much ready now.
Typically companies use verbage like "early october".
So I guess its good, they are ready to go and have a firm date.
Ironically, my daughter just told me her sportster 4 buttons do not work and she has to change the stations manually. The buttons are all dead.
I just wonder when they will become all one service, and just put all the channels together so we can get all of sirius and all of xm on one radio, instead of the best of, just give us all of them for a monthly fee. over 300 channels of satellite radio would be awesome!!
