Well, it seems as if they are hedging their bets. This from the Associated Press:

The Browns have signed third-string quarterback Austin Davis to a two-year contract extension through 2017.

The Browns signed Davis, who went 3-5 as a starter last season with St. Louis, to a one-year deal on Sept. 7, two days after he was waived by the Rams. He hasn’t played with Cleveland and is currently behind both McCown and Manziel on the depth chart, but the Browns apparently view him someone worth locking up.

I smell a trade - Manziel to Dallas? But in even dumber fashion they would trade him to Pittsburgh.

And on another note of typical & classic Murphy's Law in Cleveland. The Cavs guard Ian Shumpert out 3 months after rupturing a tendon in his wrist requiring surgery. That didn't take long. You just can't make up all the bad JUJU that is bestowed on this town. Must be built on an old Indian burial ground. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13...-wrist-surgery

September is on pace to be one of the strongest months in the last decade, according to the TrueCar and Edmunds forecasts.

Edmunds said the month’s seasonally adjusted, annualized selling rate could match the 17.8 million rate recorded in August. That would be the highest September SAAR since 2000.

TrueCar said it expects a SAAR of 17.7 million. The rate was 16.5 million in September 2014.

You might get one waterboy for Farmer and Cleveland would have to throw in a second round draft pick
