sirius Sl2 has a picture of a lock on screen- help

I want to activate an sl2 that i have not used for quite a while. I had directv but don't anymore so I want to use the sl2 to listen to NFL games. when I press activate now, the screen dims & a picture of a lock is displayed-HELP please

Sounds like its locked. On the side of the stiletto 2 there is a lock unlock switch -- its part of the power button.
