Michael Wolff on Liberty's John Malone: What Is He Actually Hunting?

Been asking myself that same question lately. Malone and company have had their vice grip on sirius for years now....and basically the best they can do is agero so far?

You've mentioned clearly that you are uninterested in purchasing or adding at these levels but would be a buyer in the $3.70's. Perhaps others are looking at the same and happy to wait? Why do you feel people would be interested buyers at $4+ and why are you uninterested in buying there?

I agree that SIRI is still at the bottom end of valuation even if it is a little better off right now vs. the end of last year, but the fact of the matter is there are probably far fewer people out there willing to buy or hold at the highs, and probably far more doing the same... waiting for that pullback or selling at or near $4 per share.
Frankly rather have it bust through four and hold there even if it was just 4.01....if not then of course i would be happy to buy on a pullback to 3.60/70 level but just dont take three months to do it lol. I mean come on....this stock should be above four bucks plain and simple. Stock has done jack in the last year n half. Fustration speaking....yup probably. Just getting tired of this dog. Same shit with managament every cc. "this is a marathon not a sprint, blah blah fkn blah. we sit around listening to the same old crap whether its a cc or a media event somewhere. I mean these mf's dont even want to disclose how many subs listen to howard stern. Im getting the feeling even if we dont pullback much lower than this...even with a good cc in about a month from now....we still wont hold four bucks. stocks a friggn joke man plain n simple. either bust over four and hold or drop like a rock...do something!! over a year and a half ago we were at 4.18...we are barely holding 3.80 lol. Want to know why no one wants to buy here....managements lack of transparency on any new or fresh ideas near term. They dont promote any interest in it. Ask them a question about agero...same shit...marathon not a sprint. Ask them about new partnerships or possible acquistions and ya get " dont see anything out there". Think they could elaborate a bit on what they were looking at or are looking at in general? nope! Just a bunch of blah blah blah...see at the next cc four months from now lol. Oh wait a minute i stand corrected...just the other day they sent out a press release stating "Cardinal Timothy Dolan to Host Religious Summit on SiriusXM's The Catholic Channel." Yet we don't have a stampede of buyers??? shocking!

oh and then they hype and realease a new app...and from the reviews i have seen thus far...they pretty much have totally missed the mark. want proof, go read the reviews on this websites front page. think there are 21 reviews so far...prob about 17 slam it. Pretty lame if ya ask me.

There's little interest in the app. 21 posts (not all reviews some are simply answers) out of more than a million times as many subscribers on this website which is the only one I am aware of that is devoted to Sirius XM.

    21...

The app is insignificant and does not warrant billions more in market cap.

It *is* a marathon and not a sprint. So... why expect the share price to sprint if the company is not doing so?
Yeah we all know its a marathon we been told that a thousands times. Could be a half marathon if they wanted it to be. As far as not in their best interest/buybacks...yeah we know that too. Just be nice to see siri build on momentum every few years lol. Like i said in my original statement...shaking my head. same ole siri bs.
