Anyone have any thoughts as to liberty spinning off their broadband at the end of this month (they do it the day after siri cc) and how that may affect siri and lib going forward?

So, all of my "shopping List" buys that triggered this morning put my in a margin call which is fine BUT what shocked me is that Etrade called me an hour later and made the call due end of day....... they have NEVER done that to me.

Etrade is in a bit of a panic so my guess is big selling pressure could hit near the close.

I think it is more due to the ongoing selling pressure market wide. I think the bottom is probably not been realized yet. If you have the nads to buy the volatility and sell back into a few pennies you can probably make a few bucks. In my opinion, that is far too risky as I haven't read anywhere where there is any clear and common understanding of exactly what is happening. It reminds me a bit of 2008 all over again. I'm not taking any risks and will continue to sit on cash until the smoke is completely clear.

EDIT: watch for S&P 500 to hit 1800. May see a bottom there.
