does anyone here honestly think they are smarter than malone?
I say not; for one simple reason: Malone has the brains & Billion$ to pull off his plan.
If he gets a higher share price for his SiriusXM stock he'll have to pay taxes! Malone's entire carrier has been avoiding taxes. Besides if Malone wants to consolidate the pay-tv industry he is better off with SiriusXM as a wholly own subsidiary versus being paid off by some white knight outright buying SiriusXM. I simply think Malone wants a deal to go through. I for one will vote for the deal because I've made a higher percentage off my year ago investment in LCMA than I have with my year ago Siri!!!! Over the pass year Malone has returned a higher gain than SiriusXM. I was really shocked when I did the calculations. For reference see my early post in this thread this morning (#15 around 9am).

Cough, Cough ---> "internet Radio" and "telematics?" Hmmm... Sponsored Data services? Hmmm...

"10:39 AM EST, 01/07/2014 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) and AT&T(T) have agreed on a multi-year exclusive arrangement under which current and future Tesla vehicles will be equipped with high-speed wireless connectivity.
With the internet, the internet in the cars will power remote engine diagnostics, telematics, and infotainment features such as Internet radio, Web browsing, live traffic, weather and navigation through a 17-inch touchscreen.
TSLA was lower 0.16% in mid-morning trade. T was higher 0.20% at $35.03."

The thought is... unless the committee convinces Malone to scrap the "ratio" offer all together, I don't see Sirius XM going much higher from the current price. Think about it... so the committee asks for a more favorable ratio for Sirius XM shareholders, it then becomes less favorable for LMCA shareholders thus driving the stock price down which drives down the offer price. It's a wash. Sirius XM is trading at a 6.35% premium right now.

The Ratio is just a tool to use to their advantage and should not be etched in stone. Negotiation is on the table and TheSiriCom can ask for a higher ratio to reflect the BS pull down divergence over the last 2 months.....probably orchestrated by MaloneCo.....or a fixed price such as recent 52 week highs....or higher depending on TRUEGUIDANCE

EDIT: In reality it is all SMOKENMIRRORS BS
