The SIRI close seems to have formed a tweezer bottom with a Bullish Harami or Bullish Harami Cross?

BassMan could you confirm/dispel/opine on that for me when you get a chance to look at it.......Tks

    Bullish reversal short term??

    SiriCS.jpg

EDIT: Does it qualify as a Harami since the entire Doji does not reside within the real body of the previous days candle...may not after further review but not sure.

EDIT2: Looks like it does qualify..

A candlestick that forms within the real body of the previous candlestick is in Harami position. Harami means pregnant in Japanese and the second candlestick is nestled inside the first. The first candlestick usually has a large real body and the second a smaller real body than the first. The shadows (high/low) of the second candlestick do not have to be contained within the first, though it's preferable if they are. Doji and spinning tops have small real bodies, and can form spinning tops have small real bodies, and can form in the harami position as well. Later we will examine candlestick patterns that utilize the harami position.

Siri has been working with ATX for years, I consider them our R&D department. This is gonna be huge. They are gonna let the Oem's run their own software utilizing our hardware, Ala, Google, Apple, Windows, unless they can come up with their own satellites and hardware, which ain't happening anytime soon, we've already been affiliated with google on the Lynx. Many future partnerships on the horizon, imo.

The chart is looking good, couldn't post for some reason, I'll try again later. But the lower BB is around $3.65, if we hit that, it's gonna be a buying frenzy!!! Or it could be like back in June, after we hit highs, but imo, Malone and company has other plans.... GLA

    Thanks for the charts Denco

When what's fixing to happen sinks in, it's on like donkey kong, bet that.

RC and PJ, tks for the links. Nice chart RC.....hope the bottom is in soon.

Man, this acquisition could be a piece to the puzzle of something REAL BIG. Its all starting to take shape from the AT&T deal, the Nissan deal, Agero, Meyers comments on the connected car, the delays on the SAT launch for now almost 2 years and of course the use of the additional VALUABLE spectrum........Damn, SIRI is looking real SWEET. With Malone pulling the strings this looks to be much bigger than anything most could have imagined for sure.....

Sorry for the late reply Denco, I was at a client site yesterday.

Yes, that is a Harami Cross Pattern. In my candlestick book from Steve Nison, he states "As the general principle, the more diminutive the second rap body, the more potent the pattern. This is usually true because the smaller the real body, the greater the ambivalence and the more likely a trend reversal." The Harami Cross is also referred to as the Petrifying Pattern, meaning the prior trend has been frozen (petrified) in preparation for a reverse move. nice analysis Denco

One thing to be aware of though is that my book also mentions "Harami Cross can also call bottoms, but they seem more effective at tops."
The opening and action on Monday morning should give us a clue whether this one called the bottom or not...

Let me address this message/question to Bass and Denco, as it is obvious both of you are well into the art of Candlestick charting.
I've had to divert energies elsewhere the past few months so have had little time or energy to absorb new TA skills. I guess the last form of such study for me was when Bass introduced us all to "Stikky Stock Charts" (gosh, how many moons ago was that?).

Bass, you mention Steve Nison's book on Candlesticks. I wonder which one you hang your hat on. And how about you, Denco, is there a favorite pick for this subject in your library? I did a quick web search and the one which seems appealing is "The Candlestick Course". Do either of you recommend that one, or is there another I should consider? I think I'm ready and willing to devote some time to that topic, so I'll be eager to receive your suggestions (and the same from any other of our readers).

Bass, are you still heavily invested in Elliott Wave as an analysis tool? That's one topic which simply scared me away.

Thanks for the comfirmation Bass. If the Macro cooperates we could be set for a bounce it looks like but the market has been soft and the MACHINES are in control of the action it seems. Tomorrow will be interesting.

Hi SLY, i check a link privided by the BassMan on candlesticks by Nison and also the Stockcharts.com website.

Good to see you coming around more often SLY.....with football season nearly upon us and basketball not too far behind, the best time of the year in sports over the next 8 months is here and time for our respective teams to show there metal once again.
