    Starmate Memo feature

My Starmate 5 died after 8 years. Went to get a replacement and find out the 'Memo' feature that allowed you to save a favorite Artists or Song is no longer available on the Starmate 8.

Why did Sirius get rid of this feature? It was really one of the best features of the Starmate.

I don't know that anyone can tell you why they did it but, it has been the big complaint along with the reduced number of presets. It is an interesting step backwards but, personally, I have never used the feature. Maybe they dumped it because it was one of the least used features? I dont know that we'll ever know.

Would seem if it is a big complaint, much have been a widely used feature.

I guess it will keep the after market alive for the Starmate 5 and 6. I'm hoping Sirius will notice in forums like this that it should be brought back as it was a nice competitive advantage for them; otherwise they're just another radio.
