Every few days the guy has this uncontrollable urge to tell the world, "Oh, we're just not getting anywhere." That
accomplishes NOTHING, except to scare the living crap out of the market. Siri
would probably be down too, were it not for both the moody's and s&p upgrades today, imo.

as noted previously - looking at transportation, it's heading down -- there's only one other time in the past six months that it didn't continue down...

and even longer term, it usually follows for a retrace rather than having a blip and bouncing.

re: boehner and mcconnell - I'm reminded that the former got "98% of what he wanted" w/ the debt ceiling debacle and that mcconnell went on record w/ admitting that they did the shit on purpose.

virtually none of those SOBs work for the little guy -- they're pretty much all working for the banks -- hell, just look at the LIBOR shite & the HSBC fine...

anyway -- I'd be hardpressed to think that we're going to $5.00 tomorrow

This dividend is taking 5 cents out and $ they did not need to spend, so I'm thinking this is a Liberty driven negotiation to allow for the share buyback. No way this is done for the little guy...

Liberty wants their $ back and here is part of it.

It will be curious to see today's close...if traders who were playing the short squeeze and if they sense they are not getting it, may bail late.

Well the dividend, if coming from their cash reserves, is cash/asset off the books.
