New FM Direct connector won't fit old MP3 cradle

I have an older Pioneer MP3 car kit that I want to install in my CTS using a FM Direct adapter. I used a smilar car kit on a previous instalation about two years ago in my RV without a problem. I purchsed a new FM Direct adapter and discovered that the connector on the FM Direct will not fit the cradle on the old kit that I have. Does anyone know if Pioneer has an adapter for the jack that will allow me to use the new FM Direct or do I need to find an old FM Direct adapter? Thanks. Bob Young

Do you mean XMP3? You're here so I assume that's what you're talking about but, I wanted to be 100% sure.

What FM Direct adapter do you have? Where wont it plug in? Into the XMP3 cradle or your cars FM antenna?

    Sorry, It is the XMP3

It's the Sirius FMDA25. The jack is the wrong size for the old cradle. The antenna leads are fine. Thanks Bob Young

    You basically have two options...

    1. Buy the old XMFM1 adapter which works with your old XMP3 dock.
    2. Upgrade to the new XMP3i dock which works with your newer FM Direct connector.

Not what you wanted to hear I'm sure but, your current connector and cradle simply aren't compatible.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

    Charles,

Many thanks for confirming my fears. Off on a quest to find a new cradle.
