    McCain Then and Now

I have no idea how these guys can live with themselves.

    McCain, Then and Now
"These attacks on, quote, Bain Capital is really kind of anathema to everything that we believe in."

-- Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), quoted by CBS News, this morning about attacks on Mitt Romney's track record in business.

"As head of his investment company he presided over the acquisition of companies that laid off thousands of workers."

-- McCain, quoted by the New York Times, taking a different view four years ago.

How about Harry Reid and Obama on recess appointments?

"When Obama was a senator, he claimed recess appointments were the wrong thing to do, as did Sen. Harry Reid, who perfected the pro-forma session of the Senate to prevent President George W. Bush from making recess appointments."

And their position today? I have no idea how these guys can live with themselves.

Poor SiriuslyWrong. He clearly has a bad case of Obama Derangement syndrome. Get better soon. lol

Via BuzzFeed, John McCain, enemy of capitalism, in 2008:
Mr. McCain also went after Mr. Romney for his work as head of Bain Capital, a leveraged-buyout firm. "As head of his investment company he presided over the acquisition of companies that laid off thousands of workers."
But here's John McCain in 2012, echoing Mitt Romney's claim that anyone who criticizes his business record is basically a communist:

"These attacks on, quote, Bain Capital is really kind of anathema to everything that we believe in," said McCain. "We believe in job creation, and the record of Bain Captial is to take companies that would otherwise fail and restore them to some kind of viability, and sometimes that doesn't work, but, you know, when it always works is a thing called communism, where you keep everybody in business."
So why is that John McCain suddenly decided to disavow his communist past and start fighting against the enemies of capitalism? Simple: His good friend Mitt Romney is running for office, for Pete's sake.
