Question Suddenly stuck on Acquiring Signal - SR-H2000 Tuner and SHDK1 Outdoor Home Antenna

Hello all, I installed a new SR-H2000 tuner and a new SHDK1 Outdoor Home Antenna for my
grandfather 2 weeks ago. I activated the radio and everything was working fine
with a strong signal for 2 weeks. He loved it.

While he was listening a few days
ago, everything suddenly cut out. The tuner has been stuck on "Acquiring
Signal" for a few days now and I can't figure it out. Nothing has changed. Should
I try relocating the antenna? Should I exchange the antenna for a new one?
Should I exchange the tuner for a new one?

I'm not sure what to do at this
point. Everything was purchased brand new 2 weeks so I'm hesitant to send
anything back and would like to avoid the exchange unless absolutely
necessary. I checked the RG-6 cables and they seem fine, but I have yet to
climb up to the antenna and unplug it and plug it back in. I'm not sure what
that would do though because nothing was changed. My
grandfather was on the phone with Sirius for an hour and they couldn't figure
it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would try manually pointing the antenna in all directions to find the best signal. I am pretty sure the best direction is due south.

    Thumbs up

Thank you for the suggestion. We tried moving the antenna around today but it didn't do anything. My grandfather spoke with Sirius and they will be replacing the tuner and antenna for him. Hopefully that should fix the problem.

Strange, it seems so unlikely that the hardware would go bad in 2 weeks time. Hope the new hardware works out for you.
