    BBC Radio 1 - gone

Anyone know why SiriusXM decided to get rid of BBC Radio 1? Studio 54 Radio (disco radio, really?) is replacing it.

Perhaps few subscribers were listing to BBC Radio 1, but I enjoyed the UK perspective on contemporary pop music and the dj commentary.

    Just curious.

As far as I know, the contract ran out. I am guessing the cost didn't justify the listenership. I'm not really adding anythign special, I just wanted to note that they didn't simply drop the channel mid contract because they didn't like it.

sirius, thats a bad choice. you are narrow minded. if i have to listen to the shows I like on the internet why do I need Sirius? your focus should be to bring the world to the USA. and i dont mean BBC World filtered thru the USA. how many people just came to the usa and would like to hear radio from their country? you have one or two spanish, a french channel and others. How many more music channels do you need. Your missing the boat. right now I don't need you. Bye Bye $$$ watch the dollars leave.
