    Van Morrison mmmmmm.
    So nice.
Tonight I started at the beginning of this thread, listening to all the songs. Lots of really, really great songs.

But I just had to repost these two. With my eyes closed, headphones on, so pretty, so romantic, so true...

    Someone Like You.

    And

    Breaking me

The voice, words, I can't get out of my head.. It's haunting, the pain of lost love.

Here is some sensual, rhythmic, melodic latin music by Ruben Blades. introduced earlier in this thread, with the band, Son Del Solar. Great percussion. Vaya.

Oh god is this funny. I had no idea. My partents had this album next to the stereo back in the 70's. I can see it there right now - next to the steps. And that "stereo" is still there, all 300 LB of it lol. I'll have to lift the lid and show my kids the next time I'm there.

And Alpert wasn't even Latino. After performing he became a record producer and owner of a label. Helped a lot of artists I seem to remember reading.

The funny part was that is the theme of The Dating Game, no? I initially googled "Tito Fuentes and the Tijuano Brass." All I could remember was "tijuano brass". This is a huge blast from the past. Work with me.

You're really confused. But I'm used to that with you.

It's Tito Puente - who has nothing to do with Alpert or the Tijuana Brass. He was (died recently) a timbale player.

About the Dating Game - who knows.

Alpert produced, I think, among many others, Sergio Mendes and (the original) Brazil 66. Great music.

Yes, I had been confused. Tito Puente obviously had nothing to do with what I was trying to recall - it was indeed Marv Albert and the Tijuana Brass, and I bet the damn albumn is still there. I'll let you know over the holidays.

Did you listen to the song? Isn't that the same song as the dating game?

Anyway, Julie is showing her younger age with those Foreigner hits lol.

I'm not as deep as you guys. Next up, Reo Speedwagon! lol

I think that's the Dating Game Song.

..."it was indeed Marv Albert and the Tijuana Brass..."

You're still confused. Marv Albert is a sportscaster.

    You want Herb Alpert.

    You're welcome.
