Installation question on a truck, help.

I have a 2002 ford ranger and just watched the video on sirius.com on how to install the antenna. My question is, when the cable goes from the weather strip from outside to the weather strip that is on the inside, there is that section where the cable it not protected. So is there a certain spot I should have the cable? Any problems with it getting cut/pinched/etc in some spot from where it runs from the outside to the inside?

If you are worried about wire getting pinched and stripping the casing, just wrap some electrical tape around that spot a few times for some extra protection.

Either that or go right through the weather stripping and patch around the wire with some rubberized style caulking.
