Buffet. Come on admit it that you would be WAY out of your league.

    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...35-503544.html

I have posted on almost every one of their "solutions" previously. My positions, and those of others that are knowledgeable, are available on this site. There is a wealth of detail for consideration. I have no respect for any of the cons positions because we know why they say and do certain things. They have admitted as much. They want power and to destroy anyone that is an obstacle to getting that power.

Nothing they say matters at all - it's what they do that matters!!!

Ask yourself why any group that REFUSED to allow Medicare to negotiate Rx prices (Medicare D) should be respected re deficits. Bush did that! Corporate whore that he was.

Ask yourself why middle-class tax rates are held hostage for the wealthy ones. The top group getting their selfish way will increase the deficit HUGELY. Why should anyone believe they care about deficits? After all, CHENEY SAID DEFICITS DON'T MATTER!!!!!!!!! They have NO credibility.

Ask yourself why defense cuts are not a top priority. Probably 50% easily. Or getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan. We have spent TRILLIONS in those places. Care about the deficit? BULLSHIT!

Ask yourself why MYTHS and LIES like taxes are so high for corporations and the wealthy - we must lower them to create jobs - have been thoroughly debunked yet they still repeat them. Demand creates jobs, not tax rates.

Ask yourself why Social Security is always included in deficit discussions when it has NOTHING to do with the deficit. Because cons want to destroy the program.

Ask yourself why the repubs can get UNANIMOUS support for certain policies of theirs. There is not one dissident among them? This speaks of a cult not a deliberative group. Rigid ideologues are the only ones that could pull that off! Why would anyone but an ideologue respect them for that?

Ask yourself why repubs have so many repulsive, brain-dead wackos in the party? What attracts them? If repubs were known for solid, intelligent reasoning and policies that made sense these dangerous idiots would not be welcome. Dangerous religious fanatics are always conservative! White supremicists are always conservative. Gun nuts are always conservative. Why????

Ask yourself why the Supreme Court 5 have voted for more precedent destroying changes than ever in the court's history? This from STRICT CONSTRUCTIONISTS that always say they respect precedent.

Ask yourself why Rumsfeld said. "you go to war with the army you have" in response to complaints from soldiers who said they DID NOT HAVE EQUIPMENT THAT WAS NEEDED FOR THE MISSION AND TO PROTECT THEM. They care about the military? F... NO!!!!

Repeal health care? The industry wrote it! Give yours up asshole repub. Then will talk.

Tarp was a BUSH initiative. Now they want to cancel it? Just more bullshit to play both sides as it suits them to get more power by using the public's anger and confusion for their benefit.

Cons have zero credibility, zero intelligence, zero respect for the country, zero respect for the truth of anything, and apparently zero respect for each other, as well. This has to be true because how else could they live with themselves knowing that they are playing a game, a psychological game with the country to say anything that will get the gullible to believe them. They don't govern - they obstruct, demean and destroy ideas that have merit but with which they disagree.

Evidence - On last night's Rachel Maddow Show, the host discussed the GOP's current love affair for the horrible "poison perv pill" as a way to kill meaningful legislation in Washington:

"If you want to kill a proposed policy in Washington, one of the most devious ways to do it is with a "poison pill." As a metaphor, the poison pill is relatively straightforward: you simply force something into a bill that is so politically toxic, it kills the whole thing.

But if you are this year's minority party in the House -- and yes, that still means the Republicans --then you've got a whole new take on the poison pill tactic .... This year's Republican lawmakers have come up with "poison sex pill" or the "poison perv pill" or the "world's most cynical poison pill," depending on how you think about it. They keep coming up with ways to add the word "pedophile" or "Viagra" or "rapist" to bills that have precisely nothing to do with any of those things. They add those things to bills so it looks like Democrats are voting in favor of pedophiles or Viagra or rapists, when in fact they are voting for things like better school lunches. Classy, right?"

If only we had an opposition party in the country that had the guts to fight these frightening, vicious assholes. But we don’t – and all supporters of the cons will eventually be sorry too, because these policies don’t help the majority – they only help a small group.

And you aren’t in it no matter what you think.

    George Carlin again. It's time.

"Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice . . . you don't. You have no choice. You have owners. (the wealthy) They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own, and control the corporations. They've long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying . . . lobbying, to get what they want . . . Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don't want . . . they don't want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don't want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They're not interested in that . . . that doesn't help them. That's against their interests. That's right. They don't want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they're getting ****ed by a system that threw them overboard 30 ****in' years ago. They don't want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers . . . Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they're coming for your Social Security money. They want your ****in' retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They'll get it . . . they'll get it all from you sooner or later cause they own this ****in' place. It's a big club and you ain't in it. You and I are not in The big club. By the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people . . . white collar, blue collar it doesn't matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue, these are people of modest means . . . continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don't give a **** about you. They don't give a **** about you . . . they don't give a **** about you. They don't care about you at all . . . at all . . . at all, and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth. It's called the American Dream cause you have to be asleep to believe it . . ."

    Warren would be GORED lol.

One simple solution would be to add a line for charitable contribution on the tax forms. This way guys like Buffet can freely contribute.

uh oh, now I got both of them. I said you would strongly disagree, but there are their ideas regardless of what you believe you've proven.

I know you are a little more diverse than Editkasha. The quest for power is a two way street, and power corrupts. Would you agree?

New Poll Shows Most Opposed to Full Tax Cuts... Just who does the GOP serve, anyway?

    Dan Sweeney

John Boehner, he of the (fill in your orange skin joke here), has said on multiple occasions that
the recent elections, in which the GOP kicked so much Democratic ass that even downright scary, religio-crazy, swirly eyed yahoos won races across the country [reportedly--MCM], were
a mandate for the GOP agenda. Boehner has said Americans now want the Congress to roll back
the health care law. He's also adamant that the victory gave him a clear mandate to extend tax cuts
for all Americans, including the uber-wealthy.

Of course, neither of these things is remotely true. A post-election poll by the Associated Press
found that a mere 31 percent of respondents wanted to repeal the health care law completely.
Further, 20 percent want it untouched, and a plurality of 38 percent think the law did not go far enough. Sure, people are upset by the health care law. But most people are upset by it because
they wanted more. Most people wonder what ever happened to the public option, which liberals conceded to as a fallback, compromise position from the single-payer system they wanted.

As for taxes, just yesterday, CBS News released a poll that found just a quarter of respondents wanted tax cuts for everyone, while 53 percent wanted tax cuts extended for just families hauling
in less than $250,000 per year. A smaller group, 14 percent, want the Bush tax cuts ended for everyone, and hey, at least those people are deficit hawks worthy of the name, unlike the Republicans now in Congress. And here's the real kicker: Just 46 percent of Republicans polled, less than half, want tax cuts extended for everyone. That represents a plurality of Republicans, with 41 percent wanting just the middle class cuts, but if the Republicans in Congress aren't even carrying out the
will of the majority of their base, and far from the will of the American people at large, just who the hell are they catering to?

What good, what usefulness, derives from the Republican agenda? The plan they now offer represents more deficits and cannot even claim the support of the GOP's own base, much less America. Who can support these jackals? And why?

Remember right after the 2008 election, when it looked as if the GOP would be wandering in the wilderness for the next decade or three? Back then, a lot of commentators said that the Republican Party had become a regional phenomenon, a Southern, white party with little cachet in the rest of the country. Those commentators were right, after a fashion. The GOP is a minority party, but the South is just a desperately needed voting base. The real clientele of the Grand Old Party are, solely, the people who stand to gain from income tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, from the abolition of the estate tax, from cuts in capital gains taxes. The GOP, at this point in its history, represents solely the interests of the stratospherically wealthy. When their agenda isn't popular with America, or in some cases even their own party, but would benefit almost entirely the wealthiest people, that is the only rational conclusion.

Conservative commentators would call what I just wrote "class warfare." They'd say that I'm fomenting resentment of the rich for no good purpose. To them, I offer the words of Warren Buffett: "There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning."

I don't understand why the negotiating point isn't simply to raise the limit a little - maybe $500,000 or maybe $1,000,000? The Republicans are being pricks.

Thank you for that understanding comment.

Perhaps I can answer that for you.

    1)The repukes are being pricks.
    2) Obama is an *idiot.
    3) The repukes are always pricks.
4)Obama has lately always been an *idiot.

What do you want for Christmas?

    * edited for taste.
