    David Stockman:Heretic or Truth-teller

For all who are not aware David Stockman was Budget Director under Ronald Reagan and has
some biting criticism (as it affects our budget deficit) of the possible extension of the Bush tax cuts for the rich, among other things.

    Great interview.

I agree with almost everything Stockman says - perhaps the means testing of SS and Medicare are exceptions, with some other relatively minor quibbles.

If only there were more republicans that said these things. Being reasonable and non-doctrinaire is verboten among republicans who are only out to maintain power and destroy whatever they disagree with. There are many examples, like saying Obama being defeated is their MOST IMPORTANT priority.

Yeah, F the country and all of us to maintain your corporate friends, their contributions and power.

    Thanks for posting this Havakasha.

The only use of republicans is to keep the statists on their toes. I'll take a look at it after the Billy Joel interview.

Only when it comes to free enterprise and the role of government.

"The role of government" is mistated. I'm more intersted in improving the efficacy of our government.

That incompasses an awful lot of issues.

I think it might be easier if you tell me what positions you disagree with the Republicans on.

Did you watch the Stockman interview yet?
