bulkowski wedge breakout target = for bullish breakout, ((high - low of wedge) x 70%) + breakout price. for bearish breakout , ((high - low) x 30%) - breakout price.
Nothing wrong with getting out when the mood isn't right, especially flat even or with a little profit!

I actually tried to get out of OCNF EOD, but was a minute late, was looking to see if it closed at 0.98. I'm weary of it under a buck, plus I have DSX, so already have one ship. Hopefully, we'll get a little rebound. I see ships as a mixed bag. Leader ISM down, NMM breaking to new highs if I recall.

Looks like it blasted out of the gate, but broke down out of the pennant. These days, I think a lot of day traders use classic patterns on small time frame charts.

    actually....

I saw where one trader uses biggest volume (usually outside of the first 30 mins of the day, to account for preset trades and opening volume)... to guage whether a stock will go higher, lower, or if to hold...

Let's see what happens tomorrrow, I have it marked here...

or the better thing, move on and don't look back, find another stock, lol.

hmm , i wonder what his ROI is using that strategy. i'd definitely like to see how this plays out, even tho i have no intention of opening another position.

do you know the technicals of that strategy dave? do you buy when it breaks above immediately, sell immediatley on a break below? how long is that channel valid?

sorry for the 20 questions, but that sounds like another tool id like to learn to use.

I'm just realizing that trading more frequently (say, once or twice a month) is probably more profitable than staying in long-term for "the big return".

Also, it's kinda' boring buying stuff and just sitting, waiting.

dave, i picked up 10 INTEL FEB $21 call options at the close today for $1.04... equity closed at 21.48 now over $22 now in A/H

btw, i liked the candle today and just felt like gambling. no real t/a, more of coinflip and gut feeling i guess.

i guess this a/h run doesnt mean anything to me unless it gaps up tomorrow. we'll see.
