Another satellite radio website (no names mentioned!) has posted an very interesting article about ICO systems. If I recall correctly, ICO submitted comments to the FCC about the XM/Sirius merger stating that they were against it unless XM/Sirius was forced to give up their "exclusive agreements" with OEMs.

This would definately be a reason why. They came out at CES this year, showing off their future systems, dubbed "Mobile Interactive Media". They are planning a satellite launch later this year and start off their services shortly after. Very intersting stuff.
