    Props to Socal

Hey . . . I just gotta take a second to give props to my pal Socal (or as I am fond of calling him "don" Socal . . . which is a term of respect for a Spanish-speaking man) . . .

A 17 page thread, started from scratch, that is not a weekly Market Watch or Sirius forum thread is no easy feat to accomplish!

I was feeling pretty good about my 11 page "Why has john Been Banned?" thread but don-Socal . . . this beauty takes the cake!

You make an interesting point don-socal . . . one I have been pondering for some time.

Let me ask you a question don-socal. What is the current % of institutional ownership in Siri? Go ahead, log in to your brokerage account and look it up . . . I'll wait right here . . .

Wow, back already . . . that was quick. Ok, what's your answer?

    Institutional Ownership 19.92%

    Is that your final answer?

    Nope. Wrong . . . try this math on for size . . .

    (0.1992 X 0.6000) + (1.000 X 0.4000) =
    (0.1195 + 0.4000) =
    51.95%

Thus I contend that the "effective" Institutional ownership % is currently 51.95%

    How do I get that?

IMO, you must factor-in Liberty Media's 40% ownership interest . . as that dilution is already baked-into the current share price.

Ownership of the company is actually bifurcated into Liberty Media (40%) and everybody else (60%) . . . so 40% of the company is 100% institutionally owned (note: Liberty is as much an "Institution" in the context of its Siri investment as would be Vanguard or Fidelity etc) and 60% of the company is 19.92% institutionally owned . . .

So, to your point don-socal . . . it would be correct to opine that retail shareholders have "no say" and the notion that ownership of Siri is dominated by retail investors is fallacious . . .

I see this happen in the pinks and pennies a lot. But, I'd love to have more faith in the big boards and I'm losing what little faith I used to have.

I'm still very hopeful for a year end rally with SIRI. That's just based on hope and luck and certainly no DD.

    Chuck,

Thanks man for listening. I was having a bad "stock" day. Rather than hair and outfit .

Anyway, being grounded can be difficult with this stock. Reality is when you really step back from the constant pump or bash with this stock, and pull up a five month chart. You would have to rate it thusly. Well anyway. The thumbs down ended up in the topic column. LOL.

Me I wish everyone here who contributes to SB and KOAT nothing but the best. But until they make us investors whole. I wish this BOD who cannot be voted out. A nice big lump of coal. And my trademark visit from "Rosie" lightly placed you know where................ : ).

Enjoy your weekend. 70's Here Amigos.

Just haven't had the heart to post the current score.

Also.....................I'm guessing that Dr. Dave may have passed board Legend. SRK. We will see.

I'm not digging closing below the 0.60 price + fib support, but the volume wasn't worth writing home about. Also, the day's range didn't really buck too far past the ATR - which we got a bounce on, unfortunately on a down day. Like you, I'm pulling for Relmor's pred to come thru, but also, trading what's given.

Need to look at market direction - bear in mind though, these last days of trading for the year are slow, and we have futures contract changes and such... so not expecting a lot of movement.

Considering I was the very first person to enter the contest, perhaps
Socal considered that as a reason to 'advance' my standing.
Or because I am an optimist, (obviously you can see from my guess)
Socal choose not to burst my bubble.
Then again, Socal is also on my friends lists, and I on his, as friends we

    take a lession here.

So in summary, I will forgive your transgression, your momentary lapse

After all, like the song says, that's what friends are for.

    P.S.
Michigan weather today. One word. SUCKS.
Yes, I think Bass deserves a lesion as well ... lol ... (Insert smiley here, Julie has them all) -

    Dear LosTib,

Anytime you would like to eliminate one or more of my smileys, please
do so. Only need to erase them in my posts and you get 4 of your very
    own to use.

We really need to ask Charles aka Smiley Police, to ease up on the smiley restriction. I am just getting started with 4.

As for Bass, something in a very light torture might suffice.
Of course he just might enjoy that.

    Julie
