The New York Times Discovers Thing Called Shale

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/24/bu...24oil.html?hpw

Yes and Rush has been saying it for years it only took the New York Times a few years to catch up. Is it any wonder they are going bankrupt. Maybe if they started to report the news instead of their ideology, people would trust them again and start to buy their rag.

If anyone has been reading the NY times for the past years they would know that they report on oil and energy issues ALL THE TIME. They dont need Rush to tell them about it. The larger point is that we want to move away from an oil based economy (security, Iran and middle east oil control, pollution, climate change reasons) and fortunately the largest amount of PRIVATE investment is POURING into alternative energy. Businessmen know where the future lies.

Much of the area that has the easyest form to get energy is still put off limits so they have to do other more expensive tech to get the energy out of shale in even areas that are not off limits. If we let them go after the best producing shale they would not even need to use the more advance tech to get at it just good old high pressure water and steam. It is said and has been proven that the USA has enough oil in its shale, that it would surpass the oil in the Middle East. Yet most of it is still put off limits, by who, OUR OWN GOVERNMENT. THAT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE.

As for the New York Times, then why has it taken them this long to do a story on it.

The nytimes had another article on this exact subject on March 24 this year and many others during the year. Facts that cant be refuted . Newspapers in general are in trouble. The facts are stubborn things.

Free enterprise system is working. PRIVATE MONEY IS POURING INTO ALTERNATIVE ENERGY. Refute that fact please.

The oil shale and how much there really is there has been talked about for years by Rush and others and the best you can do is this year from the New York Times, really get real.

The Wall Street Journal and the Washington Times are buying other papers. How do you explain that away.
