Arrrghhh...I really get irritated with rules, regs, and policies that (I feel) are somewhat antiquated --- at least, when considering the current level of instantaneous transactional technologies.

What? I transferred $X.xx on the early morning of the 18th. TDA still doesn't have the $ cleared for trading on "non-marginable" securities.

Perhaps my irritation is with myself -- I should have known not to do it *that* way...I should have just wired the damn money.

Well, I guess that means that I can do my *other* work today...

    Have a great day, folks...

    Hey Ramsey,

I have ran across that Rule T so many times and it is a real pain in the ass. I agree with the antiquated ruling on that, especially like with Scottrade. With Scottrade you can use the money immediately for stocks OVER a dollar, but under a dollar you are penalized for a few days. I don't know what sense that makes, but that is how it is.

QASP is looking very nice this morning. Up nicely on above average volume.

SPNGE and BEHL are doing well also.

The penny's are doing much better than the big boys this morning.

AMNE is also up today. Up almost 100% since last week.

    Thanks...

Candle - yeah, I've thought (briefly) about switching to a margin account and decided that it's not exactly right for me. My thought is that *me* having a margin account would be like having a television in every room or, uh, living next to a casino.

Basically, I'm honest with myself at least insomuch as I know that I have an addictive personality with some things...and yeah, I don't *actually* have a huge issue with the time delays --- it *does* irritate me, though, on the technological side of the argument.

    Bill:

    Scottrade: uhg!

I have accounts with Etrade/Scott/TDA -- mostly this was to keep funds absolutely separate & to prevent accidents from happening and biting me hard down the line.

I opened the scott trade for my last Sirius buy -- the resultant shares were intended to play with.

I cannot begin to express how angry I was that that ONE buy cost me several hundred dollars!

I'm yet pissed about it, frankly. BUT - I can tell you this...I'll not buy any more stocks with the Scott acct, unless I absolutely have to...and, there will be only one sell order that goes through with them.

PS: I see that the ROMOEFFECT is adding some juice to Spongee

    Ramsey,

All of these brokers have something wrong with them, lol. Scottrade is good for big stocks, but is really a bummer with pennies. It isn't the worst though. If I get around to it, I will open another account somewhere. I get tired of it though.

My wife gets a kick out of it all...

She always *knows* when I'm working on making a *larger* buy/sell, cause I'll have all three accts up & streaming on three monitors

I tend to use TDA's Command Center with the most frequency -- lots of tools -- many that I don't *use* -- their streaming & level 2 is the most useful out of the three -- IMO

Take a look at Champion Enterprises. CHB

This is a manufactured home building company. As the housing market rebounds, more and more people are leaning towards factory built homes.

CHB has a wide distribution and manufacturing system in place.

    It's priced pretty low.....around 55 cents.

I own some of it. It may be worth looking at for some of you.

Ramsey, I know what you mean about the margin account and the addictive personality...LOL

You really do have to watch yourself when you use an account like this.

But, for some of us, it's a pretty good tool. You just have to push yourself away for the monitor (BAR) from time to time..
