Stiletto 2, no battery

I bought a replacement sitletto 2 on ebay after my original was stolen. The new one doesn't have a battery, and I was wondering if there was any way to make the radio work with the vehicle kit docked even though there is no battery. Can I jump one of the battery posts? Just don't want to put anymore money into my 2nd Stiletto 2...

You can take the battery our of an sl2 and dock it into the vehicle dock. As long as you have power going to the dock you will be ok and a battery isn't needed.
