    Which Obama Do You Believe?
    August 3, 2009

    BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

"RUSH: Start at number six, Mister Broadcast Engineer. This morning in Virginia, at George Mason University, President Obama speaking about the implementation of the new GI bill. Here's a portion of what he said.

OBAMA (sped up): We've lived through an age when many people and institutions acted irresponsibly, when service often took a backseat, when hard choices were put aside for some other time. The men and women who have served since 9/11 tell us a different story. While so many were reaching for the quick buck, they were heading out on patrol.

RUSH: Barack Obama, once again, criticizing his own country. America has been irresponsible! We've lived through the age when many people in the institutions acted irresponsibly. They went for profit! He's getting 'em now. He's getting even with them now. Let's go back in time to March of 2007 at the Service Employees International Union health care forum, President Obama.

OBAMA MARCH 2007 (normal speed): My commitment is to make sure that we've got universal health care for all Americans by the end of my first term as president. I would hope that we can set up a system that allows those who can go through their employer to access a federal system or a state pool of some sort, but I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There's going to be potentially some transition process. I can envision a decade out or 15 years out or 20 years out.

RUSH: Now, this is 2007. He's just explained how his plan will eliminate private insurance through your employer and that that's his objective. He's out lying about this when he says, "If you like your coverage now, you'll be able to keep it. No problem! We just think there should be another entity competing so that that insurance company won't rip you off." Well, there won't be any competition because the government doesn't have to make a profit in their insurance program. Universal health care. "My commitment is make sure we've got universal health care for all Americans by the end of my first term." That's why the hurry. Let's go back to 2003. This is an AFL-CIO conference while Obama campaigns for the Senate.

OBAMA 2003 (normal speed): I happen to be a proponent of single-payer, universal health care plan. (applause) Single-payer health care plan, universal health care plan. That's what I'd like to see.

RUSH: Running for the Senate in 2003: single payer universal health care coverage. Well, now, he's president of the United States, and he has a piece of legislation in the House of Representatives that will guarantee him just that, and they're working on one in the Senate. But let's come back. Let's go to June 15th of this year. As president, Obama went to the AMA (the American Medical Association) and lied to them. He told us what his plan is in 2007, 2003. You just heard it. Universal, single-payer health care. Get rid of employer insurance. It may take 15 years to do it but I want to get it done. This is what he told the AMA back in June.

OBAMA (normal speed): The public option is not your enemy; it is your friend, I believe. L-l-let me -- Let me also, uh, address a illegitimate concern that's being put forward by those who are claiming that a public option is somehow a Trojan horse for a single-payer system.

RUSH: It most certainly is a Trojan horse for the single-payer system. Now, here's your question. This is your dilemma. Do you want to believe Obama? In which case you're sunk, you're screwed. Which Obama do you believe? Do you believe the two Obamas from 2003, 2007, where he talks to his supporters, his voters, union people: can't wait for a single-payer system -- he wants to get rid of employer health plans, universal coverage -- or do you want to believe Obama as president in trouble back at the AMA saying, "No, no, no! The public option is not a Trojan horse." Which Obama do you want to believe? 'Cause if you believe Obama, you're sunk. How do you choose which Obama to believe?"

This was taken from the Rush Limbaugh site.

For those that are wondering it was tape and video of Obama. Those were Obamas own words spoken out of his own lips. There was no paraphrasing done.

They spliced different comments to make it look like he said something he did not. It was not one speech or conversation. The oldest trick in the book. i work in the film industry. You can edit something to make it be anything you want. I could even edit you so you sound halfway reasonable.

You are so gulible it is amazing. It amazes me that people like you even make it past the age of 20.

First the title of the thread already covers the point that what he is saying now and what he said before are to different things The Rush piece explains the point of that, you twit.

Second, I will ask a common sense question you should be asking yourself about your video. In that whole video she had amble time to say it was taken out of context and spliced together and even HAD TIME to show another video of him talking about it later. So the question you should be asking is why didn't she just put up the whole thing of the vedio she says was spliced together and taken out of context. You want the simple answer, because there was no good way to put what Obama said before in a better light, because if there was they would have done it.

Finally you twit, Obama was asked in a town hall about the part of the congressional health care bill that states if you leave your employer or you switch insurance companies for any reason then you will be FORCED into the government plan. Obama answer was, that he was unaware of that part of the bill.

Yes that information also came from Rush who played the tape of it.

Your dumbass better wake up before you kill someone.

John what are you so afraid of? Are you seriously afraid that we might have health care a little bit like most European countries and Canada? Whooooooooo! So scary.

By the way, i support single payer health care and am disappointed that the Obama administration will not fight for it.
But i understand that they feel its not a system that would work here in the US given our present health care system. And so what they are proposing is a combination of a public and private health care system. Its a middle ground and the attempt by people like you to try to use the word Socialism as some kind of all encompassing bogeyman is both tragic and pathetic. Sorry you have so much anger on most subjects in general.

How about this. I will bet you that the health care legislation that passes will incude both public and private options and wont be single payer. i will bet you further that in 10 years
the plan will still be exactly that and not what you tea baggers are suggesting. Ready to bet

I find it interesting that your side has decided that the best way to argue this subject is to try to drown out other people who want to ask questions and understand what the plan might be.

I will further bet you that when the health care legislation passes it will not require everyone to give up their
present doctors and will allow them to keep their present plan.

    Want to bet chicken? LOL.

You want to change the bet huh? LOL.

I will further bet that when a future study is done on health care that Fox news viewers will have the most distorted and untruthful view of the plan.

Come on chicken want to bet on that one as well? You know i got you dead in the water and that's why your thrashing around so much and calling out dumbshit, dumbshit, dumbshit. Projecting a little. Over and out.

Your dam right have you even seen the latest studies on the subject. Cancer deaths in Europe are 4 times higher then in America ande in Canada they are 3 times higher. Europe has 20 per million MRI machines compared to 87 per million in America, in Canada the number is 37 per million. Most of the medical discoveries come from America. There is a reason why 78% of Europeans say there needs to be a total overhaul of there health care system, compared to 42% in America that think something needs to be done. There is a reason that 76% of Americans are gernerally happy with their health insuranse.

You would support a single payer heath plan. That is exactly why I said you better wake up before you kill someone.

You are a twit, the Congressional bill already is trying to get a single payer plan from the start that was the whole reason for putting up the last part of my last comment you twit.

You are a mindless atomaton, it is you mindless twits that get me so pissed. Your type are just the ones that get others killed. Just keep believing in the Obama administration propaganda. The polls dont lie, you idiot.

Obama does not even understand what the bill is. That was clear when he was asked about the provision that said if you switch or are cut from your old insurance then you will be forced into the government plan. What kind of choice is that you asshole. Is this America or god dam Old USSR.

First of all anyone looking at the post above can see you are a wackjob. Yea a bet 10 years from now that makes alot of sense and to top it off with no money mentioned. Yea I would be a chicken, you got to be the stupidest motherfocker I have ever seen write here.

Second as for FOX viewers it has been proven they are the most informed on the bill. Nowhere else did you here about Obama not even knowing about the congressional bill that forces a person into the government plan if you switch for any reason. Did you know about that part of the bill you dumbshit. the answer is no right. You might have if you watched FOX though.

Finally any common sense person reading these threads where I posted knows that if you think me making you look stupid, makes me look like I am dead in the water then yes I guess I am, right.

Hey dumbass you going to denie that the congressional bill that was up. did not have that provision about having to be forced into the government plan, in it. DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT BEFORE DREAD AND I TOLD YOU ABOUT IT. No you didn't, so who is the dumbass here.
