Just a little more education for the mighty ignorant putz.
I've more than doubled my money investing in Ford stock in the last three months. They finally understand that building fuel efficient long lasting cars is what we Americans need to provide a safe and clean future for our families. Way to go Ford and Obama. I am glad that they are both looking out for us investors!
I couldnt agree more Candleman. What Ford is demonstrating (as have Toyota, Honda etc) is that it is possible to make more money by building more energy effecient and less polluting cars. As a matter of fact its becoming an absolute necessity as GM is now coming to understand way too late.
Lloyd
if the people want hybrids, ev's, or CNG...the company's will build them! Don't need it mandated!
We agree on many of the principles of eco-friendly technology. disagree on how to get their!
The auto companies are building hybrids. But there is nothing wrong with some consumer tax credits to help the process along. Especially now in difficult economic times. As far as i know there are no mandates
that companies have to build hybrids, ev's etc. But i am glad as hell that
the Govt is finally mandating a high but achievable Mpg target.
The Car companies always complained they couldnt reach the goals then low
and behold they always managed. Of course the Bush administration never
challenged the car companies to push to new heights. They always babied
them instead of the tough love they are getting now.
Ford as you read in my other post is completely supportive of the Govt
mandates of emissions and mileage. Got to support your free market
leaders right?
