But there does appear to be golf, beer, beaches and the like. That's all good!

I decide to go inflation safe with materials and energy ETF in my portfolio earlier in the week, and today they go on a big retreat. I'm red. I suck at this game.
Price movement creates volume. This stock has moved on no news before. When they decide to move it up, it will probably be before news hits us.
I do agree that volume moves the price. But the MM's dont like it when volume moves the price. They want them to move the price, and the volume to come from investors buying their shares higher, as it moves. Fear buying works just as well as panic selling. Fear is greater than greed, and the fear button has been pushed so much its broken. Time to go up.

How crappy is this. XTXI Crosstech Energy. Net income is red and liabilities = assets; yet, market sentiment appears favorable as it has gone up 60% SINCE I SOLD IT. Yeah, I made a little money, but man o man.

Will SIRI ever get market sentiment going its' way again? I read one report that forecast 1 cent EPS in 2011 with 2009 and 2010 being red. With reports like this, it's going to be a long long time.

How long did NASDAQ give SIRI to go >$1.00?

There are market cap exceptions. SiriusXM will never be deleted from the NASDAQ. Too much volume. Im not talking sub penny volume either. Large number of transactions too. MM's love this stock. No way they send it to the OTC.

Okay I know it has been discussed before, but

    on the sell side:

    100 @ .3400
    100 @ .3401
    100 @ .3402
    100 @ .3402
    100 @ .3403
    100 @ .3404
    etc.

    Then 10K @ .3492

The manipulation is so blantant it is now a show of wills. It is pathetic that a group of wall street mm's can trade back and forth to hold down a stock.

Maybe we should form our own manipulation fraternity and trade the stock where it should be.

sorry Julie Too, acceptance of sorority members is of course a given.

See, that would be illegal. Yet MM's do the exact same thing, except with big money every day. Sorry little man, you will not collaborate buys and sells as an organized unit. That would be collusion.

On the 3 month chart, can bollinger bands cross? LOL

Something has to break, but there is no indication what so ever. It's as if it will go for perpetuity (damn - no spellcheck, now I might look like a dummy for using a word I might not be able to spell.)

Siriustunes - help me understand why you think manipulation.

    Question

hmmm....I feel alittle empty after this week, I had high hopes on the .50's. Is it the SEC that monitors insider trading, collusion and fraud??? I just started trading for fun, but is this kind of manipulation rampant on wall street or are there just a few cases and they just turn a blind eye to it?

Example: Today there was a decent order to sell at .3494 (I may be off .0001), which would have brought the days gain to green. Just as that sell hit the top of the board, 8 sell orders came at .3400 to .3407. All at 100 shares each. And on the buy side you can see the same thing in reverse for increments of .0001. this is repeated over and over again. It is a back and forth to keep the large buy and sell orders from running the pps up. These mm's will use a given amount of capital to constrain or depress a stock from both the buy and sell side. then at the end of the day you can see where they can no longer pull any shares from emotional traders selling or trade with themselves or other mm's. So in order to add to their holdings they pull down the last retail sellers stock right before close. That is why you see the large jump in pps in the last 2-3 minutes. the difference being what they have been constraining the pps at and what the next unsuspecting retail investor is willing to unload.

So where you have buyers willing to pay .3494, you have mm's that are continuously putting small 100 blocks out there in front of the .3494 seller. they are never letting the two meet.

There are others on this site that are far more knowledgeable than me in this matter and please anyone correct me. This is basically my conclusion in watching this stock for the past 6 months.
