my TD account says 2 million shares trading (heavy) is that not a good thing to go by?

Not heavy volume. But I guess "heavy" is an arbitrary word. Heavy volume at the open I would with this stock, especially with news possibly coming, as around 6-10 million at the open. I wouldnt even call 2 million medium volume. MM's grabbed most of those shares at the open, and sold them to keep it under .34. Now its easy from here(unless volume picks up, because if it does, it wont be sell volume).Originally Posted by imromo24
Most volume comes at the open and close(not percentage wise, but compared to other parts of the day). If we get 2 million at the open, probably trade 15 million during the day, and get to around 20 million to 25 million by close. That would be light volume.

going to paint the low here any second. well nothing good is coming today either, never ending supply of sellers all willing to drop their ask every 2seconds.
i figure the TD volume descriptions (heavy) are calculated from some recent period of trading average, maybe because the recent average has been so low, today is being called heavy at 3MM
O, I see. Ya, ok. You may be right. Probably going on a weeks worth of opening volume. I get ya. I didnt know it was TD saying heavy. Better than Friday, I suppose. But still not enough for the MM's to care about, It appears.
