I think so! American SiriusXM owns 23% of Canada XM. At least that's what Wikipedia says.
I'm trying to figure out Canada's stock market. It says Canada XM hasn't traded since Monday 4/6???

Transam- This was dated on the 8th. I am just wondering why this hasn't been on any boards that I am aware of. Also, If it were put out on the 8th, I wonder why we (siri) didn't get a boast from it?

transam, What scares me is while they say their self paying subs went up. What happen to the full subscription number. No mention of it, at last call there were at just over 500,000 if I recall correctly. SIRI of Canada had almost a million subs.

Mello, Dont for get that they also get about 85% of their content from XMSR they have to pay for that.

    john,

digitalhomecanada has a real good out line of what's been taking place in canada on a quarterly basis. it even shows when they changed the counting methods.

it looks like the government of canada may be thinking of stepping in to bail out or give a helping hand to some broadcasters in smaller markets which have troubles do to the economy.

    heres the link

Thanks Tim, that was helpful. It also confirmed what I was thinking when I did not see hide nor hair of the total (all in) sub number in the other link by "transam". You could bet that if they added any subs to the all-in number they would have put it out in every PR.

Hey I Know it might be difficult to get any information on the SIRI side when it comes to Canada, it being a private company and all but if you have a link, I really would like to see that one.

    Thanks

    John

john some place on the same site link (on the left hand side under radio) you should find a comparison which Hugh was keeping up to date, the best he could based on the little information Sirius would release from time to time.

he used to have three sections for satrad as i recall
