This is another Bruce Cockburn song I like. Can you pick up on any Christian influences in this one? Bruce Cockburn is getting up there in age - he was born in 1945 and he's in his mid 60's....still writing new music and touring.

Lets see conservative view;
1) Do whatever it takes to go after our own resourses to be less dependant on others for our energy needs, until something new can takeover that dependancy.
2) Care more about people then some seal or fish or other animal.
3) Buy American, But if you dont then dont piss and moan about the economy or if companies out-sourse because your dumb ass wont buy their product because of the price.
4) Protect the most innocent. A human life should not just be killed because it is a inconvenience to someone for 9 months. Conservatives are pro choice also we just believe that choice was made before having sex which was to use birth control or not to. That after that the choice nolonger just concerns them.
5) The death penalty, thats right kill the people that have shown and proven themselves to be a parasite to the human race.
Now the Liberial view:
1) Do everything possible to stop us from being less dependant, that way the high price of fuel will drive us to find other ways faster. Be damed to all the damage that causes the economy. We care about "global warming", oh I'm sorry that has now changed to "cilmate change" (do you think anyone will catch the fact that we just changed that because we now think that what we are doing will cause the temperature to go down causing a new Ice age).
2) The human race be damed as long as the animals are safe.
3) Buy whatever it does not matter and if it does, that still does not mean we cant piss and moan about it. What is good for us is not good for anyone else.

I'm actually a liberal but agree with your assessment of us liberals to some extent. With that being said, I wholeheartedly disagree that we need more babies on this planet that have no means of survival. Hence pro choice makes more sense than having welfare take care of our youth. Just a thought.
