Subaru - sales fell 2.6 percent in March U.S. sales dropped to 16,249 from 16,685 in March 2008.


Ford Motor Co. sales dropped 40.9 percent Ford sold a total of 131,123 light vehicles in March, down from 221,696 in the same month last year.

Daimler AG - Mercedes-Benz and smart micro-cars combined fell 23 percent in March.U.S. sales by the German automaker were 17,348 compared with 22,542 a year earlier.

Acura sales dropped 32.2 percent Acura sold a total of 9,005 light vehicles in March, down from 13,288 in the same month last year. Light vehicles exclude heavy truck sales.

Toyota sales fell 36.6 percent to 132,802 vehicles from the same month last year.With month-over-month sales comparisons providing a more realistic indication of current market conditions, Toyota said its sales in March posted a 16.3 percent increase over February.
