I was just being sardonic, or German humor so to speak.

You want me to share? I'll share!

What I learned about Sirius is that my mind turned them into some huge conglomerate. They aren't.

Sirius XM radio is a radio company. I had forgotten that. That's what they are and that's all they do. They happen to be the best radio company in the world. The company did not have so much as a light on in an empty office. It was a model of efficiency!

Even with negative growth, the company will continue to grow revenue per share based solely on merger synergies.

OEM install rates are strong and getting stronger.

Retail, as I tried to inform you all is negligible and will continue to be for the time being. An ad campaign when people are not spending is pointless.

Mark Wienkes was right and deserves credit for being right.

I believe that Auto sales should be around 11.5 mil for 2009 and 14.5 mil for 2010 (taking Stock market values into consideration). Using the assumptions that true Average Sales is correct for 1990 (as the base), and assuming a 1% growth rate from there.

Calculatedriskblog.com shows a turn over ratio of between 24-27 years based on current autosales levels. That level of sales is unsustainable - how many people do you know that have a 20+ year old daily driver? Even 10+ years? This slump may last the year, but not much longer after which auto sales will be back with a fury.

Brandon: Would your opinion change if the Uptick rule were reimposed...especially if it were set at 5 cents up before a short could be executed? I'm, no fan of RS....but if the field were leveled so that the shorts couldn't destroy the PPS, I can't say I'd be opposed. What's your opinion?

I bought a used car in November and activated the preinstalled Sirius receiver. Does that count for anything? I have a feeling I'm not alone.
